The Essential Mix is a weekly radio show on BBC Radio 1 currently broadcast between 0:00 - 2:00 AM UK time on Saturday morning. Originally broadcast on 30 October 1993, the Essential Mix features contemporary DJs and music producers of electronic dance music. The show has been presented since its inception by Pete Tong and features an uninterrupted two-hour mix from a different artist each week, overlaid with occasional continuity announcements delivered by Tong. With a broadcast run in excess of 25 years, the Essential Mix is one of the longest-running programmes in the current BBC Radio 1 schedule, and is one of very few Radio 1 shows which is not broadcast live.

It's been about five months since the emergence of COVID-19. The whole world is in fear and we have no choice but to keep social distance. Many people got transmitted and had lost their lives. We pray for those who past away and we would like to send gratitude and respect to all the frontline healthcare professionals fighting in the dark tunnel.


Today, we would like to send DJ KRUSH's set as a gift to you, to people tired of quarantine, to people that are stressed out, to people fighting with anxiety. Please take a listen!!

I’m musically trained at all and don’t believe in rules in music, how you push something forward if there’s rules

Too shy to sing

So most of my tracks are just minimal lyrically 

Just feel the need to express myself through and artwork 

At the moment struggling to do that as I’ve found it hard to lose myself into 
Hopefully I can get inspiration from you guys
