Up next on DPE is a Moscow based artist releasing minimal and deep tech records under the name Legit Trip. While this project only began in 2016, over the past couple of years he has already emased an impressive discography including releases on Little Helpers, Kinetika and more. Here we have a tasty three track EP that we are sure will delight his fans as well as followers of the label.
The title track ‘Grib’ is a low slung minimal house track which oozes groove and swagger. A stripped back drum pattern is derived from a crunchy house sound pallet and gives ‘Grib’ a rich and crisp feeling. The beat rides over sharp and punchy sub pulses and a warm synth pattern adds depth together with a well effected spoken vocal.
‘Dver’ takes things a little more dubby with a tight groove over ultra deep subs. A very intricately sequenced drum groove creates a bouncing vibe and keeps you guessing as new sounds and textures evolve throughout the track. A bright synth stab provides contrast and interest as the track creates tension and release moments around a dubby male vocal. ‘Where Are You’ keeps up the rolling nature of the EP and this time Legit Trip delivers a deep energetic groover. Dubby synths play off one another creating an intoxicating groove and texture. A series of short vocals interplay with the crispy drums and warm synth stabs to further cement the playful and dubby nature of the record and its infectious groove.

Dustin Nantais makes his long awaited return to Manual Music after delivering one of the labels' biggest releases of last year with 'Apathy'.

The Toronto based artist delivers two delightful new tracks, kicking things off with the title track 'Last Legs'. A lovely piece of blissful dance floor euphoria that sits nicely in the middle of progressive melodic house and a more bigroom kinda sound. Sure to be dropped at many festivals this summer season!

On remix duties we welcome Argentinian rising star Emi Galvan on board, after already having released material by him on our MNL label. He brings that percussion driven South American touch which we love so much, and gives 'Last Legs' a whole different feel. Groovy!

The second original is titled 'The More You Do' and is a bit deeper and moody when compared to the opening track. The infectious bassline gently takes you on yet another trip to dreamland as the strings and arpeggiators get introduced subtly along the way. Proper emo vibes here!

Always end the thing with a bang we thought, so we asked Matan Caspi to remix 'The More You Do' and the result is nothing short of stunning! The Outta Limits label boss truly delivers on of his best remixes to date here with a driving chunky percussion fueled interpretation. Proper peak time dance floor madness right here!

Two great originals by Dustin Nantais topped off by two strong interpretations by Emi Galvan and Matan Caspi. What more can one ask for?

YEAH, it’s disco time again and our newest release is from COMERANIAN!

Despite his busy schedule, sleeping and reading (short manuscripts from Murakami)Javier foun d the time to complete this amazing disco banger COMIC SANS LOVERS.

Comeranian’s passion for making music started with a stolen banjo and somebody’s discarded percussion instruments. And although he's not very talented as a singer you can hear him in one of the tracks, saying the word 'Mierda’, which -loosely translated- is something like ‘What a lovely day’.

The 3 originals on the Comic Sans Lovers ep are like the 3 fingers on the hand of a Ninja Turtle. They are inseparable and share a strong bond. The tracks are an expression of love, the celebration life and a protest against loud annoying Reggaeton ringtones.

All cohesion is of course lost with L’Equipe du Son’s Sans Serif remix, a darker than dark Disco Noir interpretation of Comic Sans Lovers.
