Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.
The result was that I developed a bit of a neurosis. As soon as I hit the air I became extravagant. It wouldn't matter what the subject of conversation happened to be, as we started back to Montparnasse in the early morning, I'd soon turn the fire hose on it, squelch it, in order to trot out my perverted dreams. I liked best talking about those things which none of us knew anything about. I had cultivated a mild sort of insanity, echolalia, I think it's called. All the tag ends of a night's proofing danced on the tip of my tongue. Dalmatia – I had held copy on an ad for that beautiful jeweled resort. All right, Dalmatia. You take a train and in the morning your pores are perspiring and the grapes are bursting their skins. I could reel it off about Dalmatia from the grand boulevard to Cardinal Mazarin's palace, further, if I chose to. I don't even know where it is on the map, and I don't want to know ever, but at three in the morning with all that lead in your veins and your clothes saturated with sweat and patchouli and the clink of bracelets passing through the wringer and those beer yarns that I was braced for, little things like geography, costume, speech, architecture don't mean a goddamn thing. Only music matters, and the new EP by The Oddness is my best friend to my next trip to dreamland!

In der Schnittmenge von Band und Maschinenmusik holt uns das Geschwisterduo Mo et Moi gleich doppelt ab. Das repetitive Knallen der Kickdrum kitzelt eine Ecke des Gehirns, die mit gedankenverlorenem Bewegungsdrang und dem daraus resultierenden Glücksgefühl zu tun hat. Derweil schmiegt sich der handgespielte Vibe ihrer Musik mit der Dynamik eines wärmenden Schals um die tanzende Seele. Über dem obertonreichen, meditativen Klingeln von ‘The Deep Heart's Core’ und der vom Showdown eines Western angehauchten Gitarrengeschichte von ‘Dream’  schwebt die Stimme von Sängerin Clara allgegenwärtig und doch niemals aufdringlich. Der Remix von Dole & Kom groovt mit auf den Punkt gebrachter Rhythmik daher, Anton Feine führt uns derweil auf eine tiefenentspannte Dub-Exkursion.  

Sitting right between band and machine-made music, the two siblings Mo et Moi draw their intriguing catchiness from two different sources. There’s the repetitive bang of the kickdrum that triggers an instant urge to move - which again triggers an instant feeling of bliss and well-being. And there’s the hand-played vibe of their music that wraps around the dancing soul like a warm scarf. The omnipresent, yet subtle voice of singer Clara hovers between the meditative ringing of ‘The Deep Heart’s Core’ and the guitar-lead narrative of ‘Dream’ that somehow resembles the showdown scene of a Western. The stripped-down remix of Dole & Kom grooves along with flawless rhythmic precision, while Anton Feine takes us on a laid-back excursion to the world of Dub.

The „Love and Nature“ artists set off on new adventures and this time they have to face the catastrophic incidents in Australia.

Since September 2019 hundreds of bush fires have burnt over 6 million hectares of land. Scientists estimate that over 1 billion animals are affected. the reasons for the fires are versatile but the worst drought in Australias history and record high temperatures - up to 46 degrees - may be the main reasons. All this can be traced back to global warming but lots of politicians and huge parts of society still close their eyes. It is terrifying to see that every year announcements like this are rising and we are still not able to develop sustainable economic systems. Just embarrassing that country’s like Australia, Brazil or USA, which have to face natural catastrophes more than other countries, blocking important resolutions to stop the climate change. But also we have to take responsibility for our consumption behaviours to sent a signal to the economy.

Kollektiv.Liebe decided to donate all earnings of this release to „Wires“ which founded an Emergency Fund. It helps to rescue sick, injured and orphaned wildlife.
