Summer is flying by and it's time for our next compilation again. This time we have put together a large selection of artists for you whose sound we have been liking lately.

Downtempo is a very diverse music genre with many different styles and directions. As always, we want to address all these influences we like with our compilation and bring them under one roof. So there should be something for everyone on this release, whether to chill out on an open air or inside in the fog of the night.

We are very grateful to have represented so many different and talented musicians on our label and we would like to thank all artists involved. Especially our Mastering Engineer Haunted Water & Kilian Van De Water for the gorgeous Artwork again.

Onix - Intergalactic Horsemen

What does distance mean? When you are far away from home and can only recreate your familiar environment behind closed eyes by remembering how it was, who you love, and what you miss, then distance is something very connecting. This distance is what Julian Schraven sought when the Cologne-based producer and electronic live musician left his homeland to explore the southern part of Europe for several months, to find out if and why he wants to return. Packed with him were a bunch of ideas of what something like a new sound could be.

With his EP ‚Prisa‘, producer, DJ and live act Cedric Scheibel focusses on a new, more melodic sound: Acoustic instruments - especially the piano - are gently embraced by groovy percussions and atmospheric pads and elegantly combine themselves to a sonic experience that invites to dance and to dream.

Slightly melancholic but above all hopeful melodies span an emotional and rousing arc and are cleverly accompanied by warm Moog leads and bouncy bass lines. 
Away from the classic genre boundaries, the three original tracks move somewhere between organic house and slow melodic techno, impressing with their individuality and forming together a harmonious and characterful composition that leaves you wanting more. Geplantes Nichtstun catches this warm melodic vibe as well with their remix of ‚Prisa‘.

The concept album takes us on a journey through Judith Ahrends' life: "I went to these places to capture atmospheres and traces of another time."
It begins in her childhood village of Hollenstedt, full of playful lightness and a sense of connection and strength. At 15, a move to Kleinmachnow disrupts this harmony. The steady hum of the highway becomes a quiet backdrop, merging with the wind in the pines.
The journey continues: a year in Seattle, her university years in Hanover, spent alone in a small room staring at the ceiling. Life in Berlin and sleeping in Luckenwalde, where the night owl calls. Finally, the track "HERE" reflects an inner place, detached from space and time — a home.

Each song is accompanied by a painting, 80x80 cm, created with acrylics, ink, and other pens. A cow, tied to Hollenstedt, even made it onto the album cover.

Third Rail (Remixes) reimagines the original EP with five tracks, ranging from laid back downtempo to steady mid-tempo grooves. Whether you’re familiar with the original compositions or hearing them for the first time, you can still feel the original warmth created by Colour Your Mind’s use of acoustic instruments.

Judith Ahrends’ remix of Railroad Station weaves multiple layers of vocals into a rich, textured story. Each voice adds depth and dimension to the track while creating a somewhat dadaistic feeling - and we like that a lot. The interplay of harmonies and melodies creates a sense of movement, like overlapping threads that form an intricate tapestry. It’s a reimagining that feels both personal and expansive, inviting the listener to explore its many facets with each new listen.
