Keep It Real

The Adam Ten & Solomun-inspired rise in left-field dance music has filled the “Indie Dance” DJ charts with an influx of new producers. KEYTARBI is one of these rising stars that has caught our ears, her “Quito” cut delivering the kind of uptempo chug we want in a left-field set. The wonderfully oddball “Pancakes” is her debut for us. Featuring the spoken tones of legendary house vocalist Robert Owens. “It ain’t over,” he tells us, “until Bertha calls you into the kitchen, for some of her delicious pancakes.” We have no idea what he’s on about either, but with a groove this good, who needs anything to make sense? It’s just a banger!

We love Chilean-based producer Bruno Bona’s attitude. Since the beginning of 2023, he has been delivering regular demos to our inbox. With feedback, they have improved. Despite not landing a release since then, he’s stuck with us. As time progressed, we’ve seen him pick up releases on tastemaker imprints like LTF and Moodchild. At the beginning of this year, he released a version of the Justin Timberlake hit “Sexy Back” that has delighted DJs and smashed the streaming platforms. This year, he cracked it and has landed his GU debut. “Tentando” reminds us of one of our most-celebrated releases, “Buscando Money”. They both deliver wicked grooves and hooky-as-hell Reggaeton toplines. Here’s hoping Bruno hits the same levels as TWENTY SIX and Tayson Kryss did. Dive in!

It’s a star-studded collaboration on Toolroom Trax as cultures collide between original Latin flavours and big club beats from STBAN and James Hurr.

Latin House producer and label head of Flamenca Records, STBAN makes his debut on Toolroom Trax with a collaboration that’s feels fresh and authentic. Known for championing house music laced with flamenco influences, STBAN has been carving out a lane that fuses tradition with the underground that stays true to his roots and sound.

On this new record ‘El Camino’, STBAN once again teams up with Josemi Carmona who layers original flamenco inspired instrumentation which is making these two quite the pair. To elevate the record further, they’ve invited Soleá Morente one of Spain’s most celebrated vocalists to deliver stunning original lyrics. Soleá’s career has spanned everything from indie flamenco to high-profile collaborations which brings an expertise of organic flamenco edge.

And because this is a Toolroom Trax release, the production is finished off with some serious club muscle in the form of James Hurr. A firm label favourite with a string of Beatport chart-toppers and collaborations with Mark Knight and Roland Clark, James adds his expertise in chunky club beats ensuring ‘El Camino’ has the right amount of punch to dominate those global dancefloors.

Making his debut on Toolroom Trax is Italian house veteran Fuzzy Hair with ‘Burdeu’. 

Fuzzy Hair has been a stalwart for house music over the last two decades whose sound is still recognised and respected to this day. He has had the opportunities to remix seminal club anthems such as David Guetta’s ‘Stay’, Harry Romero’s ‘Dancin’ and Mousse-T’s ‘Right About Now’. Jesús Fernández follows up his Toolroom anthem ‘La Samba’ with another unstoppable Latin house workout. 

This time Jesús has teamed up with the Colombian ensemble Los Gaiteros de Ovejas, reworking their 2017 traditional anthem ‘Negra Cumbiambera’ with a fresh, modern reimagining that pays respect to its cultural roots while giving it that big club energy. Jesús continues to lead the charge for Latin house proving once again why his sound resonates with DJs and dancers everywhere being a regular soundtrack for Claptone, Bob Sinclar, HUGEL, Sam Divine, Mark Knight and countless others. ‘Cumbiambera’ is driven by Jesús’ signature percussion-led sound, blending authentic Latin instruments with the original vocal chants and flute hook from Los Gaiteros de Ovejas.

Italian born producer/dj, Manuel De Le Mare has spent the past years delivering money-shot releases and remixes, whilst marrying a lifetime of passion and dedication to his love of DJing. This ability within his musical sphere has pricked the interest of global artists like Adam Beyer, Jamie Jones, Fatboy Slim, Mark Knight, Calvin Harris, Solardo, Green Velvet. Whilst leading Beatport to bestow him the award of ‘Best Remixer of the Year’, a suitable follow up on his nomination for ‘Best Deep House and Techno Artist’.

With his music growing in stature on ever release, the demand with his bookings has not been far behind.
