Im Jahr 2004 haben Fabian und Galal das DJ-Team GLEICHSCHRITT ins Leben gerufen. Der Name symbolisiert die gemeinsame Entdeckungs- und Erlebnisreise in der Welt der elektronischen Musik. Die beiden DJs haben ihre Leidenschaft für diesen Sound schon früh entdeckt und teilen diese Energie gerne mit ihrem Publikum. Doch GLEICHSCHRITT bietet noch weit mehr: dank ihrer Aufgeschlossenheit und ihrem breit gefächterten Interesse an verschiedenen Styles ist jeder Gig ein unvergleichliches, einzigartiges Erlebnis.
Anfangs spielte GLEICHSCHRITT vorwiegend in kleineren Pubs in und um Zürich, doch bald eroberten Sie auch die DJ-Pulte der bekannteren Clubs wie dem Hive (Resident), Q-Club, Kaufleuten, Supermarket, Alte Börse, Mascotte und der ehemaligen Dachkantine. Neben zahlreichen Untergrundparties fanden auch Gigs im Ausland statt, zum Beispiel auf Ibiza und in Barcelona (Spanien), München (Deutschland) und Hurghada (Ägypten).
An den Annual Swiss Electronic Music Awards 2006 wurde GLEICHSCHRITT der “Best Newcomer DJ of the Year 2006”-Award verliehen.
GLEICHSCHRITT hat sich inzwischen zwei Labels angeschlossen, die perfekt zu ihnen passen: Grundton, ein auf Kenner fokussiertes Label, und ESANCE, das sich auf spezielle und innovative Grooves mit dem „gewissen Etwas“ spezialisiert hat.
Doch das ist natürlich längst nicht alles! GLEICHSCHRITT hält auch für die Zukunft noch die eine oder andere Überraschung bereit, nicht zuletzt im Bereich der Eigenproduktion. Also: Bleibt im Gleichschritt und stay tuned!

Super proud to be part of the 'Five Years of microCastle' collection. Out on July 28th, 2014!

Mitch has been such a huge influence and inspiration to me over the years. The way he's executed things, his foresight into the future sound as well as being an amazing human. I couldn't be more thankful. This marks one major point off my bucket-list.

This stellar collection contains some of the best moments the label has had over the course of its first 5 years, along with new interpretations ... including mine. I've gone and done something completely different from my usual sound, something I've been experimenting on based on my experiences over the dance-floors in India, a dark & slow techno-ish builder. I hope you like it.

Francesco Rossi is back on d:vision with another auditory gold release.
Following on from the huge success of the Ibiza 2013 DJ Awards Track of the Season ‘Paper Aeroplane’ and BBC Radio 1’s Future Anthem ‘Godspeed You’ from last year, the Italian DJ/producer shows no sign of slowing down and demonstrates again his skills as creative genius with a keen sense for big moments.
Francesco joins forces together with veteran Austin Pop / Rock singer-songwriter David Garza to deliver his brand new single ‘Revolution’.

Straight out of the Ukraine comes iO (Mulen) AKA Aleksandr Voznichenko, a man whose back catalogue includes releases on labels such as Rejected, Eklectisch and Area Remote to name but a few. Now he links up with one of Paris’ premier labels, run by one of Paris’ premier crews – Apollonia. With one solid track and a classy remix from Danish young gun Malin Génie, this is another surefire winner from Apollonia. ‘To The Unknown’ kicks things off with a steady build up. Shrouded in a hazy mist it draws you to its understated groove, iO turns in a very considered production that evolves at a slow yet utterly gripping pace. The energy levels rise like the tide of the ocean, engulfing you before you know it. iO’s dexterity and cunning ability to keep the listener engaged manifests itself here, bomb! On the flip side, Malin Genie steps in to give ‘To The Unknown’ a new lick of paint and what we get is a jazzy, minimal rework with a jaunty skip in its step and a wicked bassline.

After a few releases on our sub labels, it's about time for the next proper artist EP on Ritter Butzke Studio. The supplier is no one less than our label head Mario Aureo with some musical support from his Swiss partner in crime Manuel Moreno and Markus Homm on remix duties.
The EP starts with „Final Call“ which immediately lives up to its name with a striking horn signal filling the speakers. The track then builds slowly until a protruding tamborine rhythm calls you up again. In the middle of the second break, the main melody finally sets in and removes all remaining doubts as to why Mario has chosen this track for the pole position of his release. The second track, „Gloaming“, is a production in which Mario shows his deeper and more reflective side. A distinctive hook synth, warm pads and strings, a floating bassline and a perfect groove contruct make up the essential ingredients of this track. Up next is „Collapse“, a collaboration with Manuel Moreno who you already know from his past works along with Mario on our imprint. This track seems basic and simple at first glance but when every sound is on point you don't need a thousand stems for a superb result. Nevertheless, „Collapse“ is more after hours oriented and that's why we've picked Markus Homm to do a remix for this track. As expected, Markus did exactly what we had in our minds – He took almost entirely all elements from the original but turned them into a much more clubby version, in the well known Homm manner.
The moment you've listened to all tracks in full length, you will clearly see the broad range of electronic music Mario stands for as a DJ and producer. That's why we count on him for now and for the future.

Manuel Moreno - Ritter Butzke Studio Podcast #26

Dario Dattis & David Aurel Cuéntame (Manuel Moreno Remix)

Sub_Urban is back with Part 2 (of 2) of it's 'Remix Pack' series. The second outing turns the volume up a notch, with more serious, club oriented dance-floor jams than it's predecessor while maintaining the same level of depth and quality.

First up Goal's Sapamana is reworked by Mallorquin native Campaner, resulting in a journey into the deep highlighted by creative drum programming and a dubby chord pattern. An acid line emerges later on, followed by ethereal vocals that take this intelligent tech track a step further. As the groove continues to develop, a filter glides along to create the feeling of flying without moving, as Campaner displays an ever improving production technique.

Luv Machines is the project of Sebas Ramis and Campaner, and on this remix they re-work the later's track I'm Rebel. The duo start things off with a house groove and a bell pattern, with a minimal bassline that's reminiscent of some of the best works of Dessous' Vincenzo. Synth stabs and more percussion follow, making this one of the most accessible club tracks on the release, and sure to be heard throughout the islands and mainland this year.

Next, Gaol remixes Guri's Africa, beginning with a heavy kick drum and an erie disco string. Gaol's signature percussion follows, as the vibe builds slowly with synth swells and a hypnotic bassline. As is the theme throughout this EP, minimal vocal cut ups help the track walk the line between house and techno, making this one the top pick of the EP for bouncey dancefloor pleasure. 

Italian producer Oneplus are back with a remix of Guri ft. Eider, this one an elegant, melodic house trip packed with early morning piano riffs and bass swells. The track is sure to be a hit with fans of Tale of Us, who are looking for a more musical reprise to their progressive and tech sessions. The track is both patient and creative, with layered synthesizers reminding us of the early works of Underworld.

Dirty Culture makes their debut for the label with a tribal groove featuring unique percussion elements that create an afro-inspired house groove, complimented by warm synth pads. A marimba drum pattern builds up to a release of driving analog drums and vocal snippets that create a rhythm of their own. Like many on the release, the track is destined to be in the bags of multiple genres of DJs, with a very club friendly and yet intelligent mood.

Wiki, Oneplus, Guri feat Eider- Home (Dirty Culture Remix)

Tipping Point unites what was always supposed to be united. @florianrietze and @lucamusto found themselves to be each others perfect creative complements. 
With Florian's feeling for forward-oriented basslines and Luca Musto's sense for magical melodies combined hypnotizing beats, the two form a perfect symbiosis of outstanding creativity. Subtle melodies, inspired by the outdoors, lead to a natural lightness in their sound. The endearing depth of the EP is a perfect fit for peaktime highlights as well as intimate moments in smaller venues.
London's celebrated newcomer in pop art, Benjamin Craven, has understood the spirit perfectly and designed a spot-on cover artwork.
Tipping Point contains lots of love and a special mood that you hopefully enjoy as much as we do.
