Hey Awesome people, so this is me I write all the Lyrics to  these songs 🎵 
so I hope you enjoy... and I hope some of these lyrics will help some of you through any of your tough times. comment and like. love you all

In more and less distant pasts, I played in several hard-rock bands as a rhythm guitarist. 
I really enjoyed it. 
Currently, I have to admit that my motivation for this activity has disappeared. I have much more fun composing and recording in my little home studio.
I’m also keen to collaborate with other artists, people who want to offer their services, or people who would like to benefit from my skills.  
Do not hesitate to get in touch.

My musical development:
- took much accordion lessons in my childhood
- than playing bass accordion in an orchestra
- than learning basics of drum playing by myself
- than took guitar lessons for a few years
- than took a little bit african drums lessons
- than playing a few years in a band as a drummer
- than took some sax lessons
- than learning a bit keys and synths by myself
- than fighting to catch right tones on vocals....
- producing cover songs most since 2013
in between again and again doing nothing with music many years....
whether that has borne fruit it's your decision...
sure I'm not a professional but music shapes my life...

A guitar player and composer determined to create music which fits a personal perspective, defying the rules of today's music industry, associated laws & habits.

Jan Magne Garte is a Norwegian musician and solo artist in the heavy metal and hard rock genres. Born in 1971, he is originally from Surnadal in Møre og Romsdal, but recently moved (as of early 2025) to Hitra.

Born in Kristiansand in the south of Norway in 1971.
In '75 he and his family moved to the small village of Surnadal,and at the age of 16 he had started playing bass in different bands. His last band would eventually grow in popularity and open for some of the most popular Norwegian rock bands at the time.

By the early 2000s Garte had started a band with some of his best friends and expanded his repertoire by writing his own songs, singing and switching from bass to guitar. Around the same time his parental duties would start to take the focus from the music and his career as a musician would take a hiatus for almost two decades. 
Now after all this time, his love for making music has truly rekindled and the old musician has returned. 

All of his music is heavly influenced by the songs of his youth, from genres such as '80s hard rock, heavy metal, thrash, but also taking notes from the next generation of musicians.

Garte also has another solo project under the name LORRIDI.
