Na, das kann ja heiter werden: Der umtriebige musikalische Weltenbummler Eulenhaupt, auch bekannt
als DJ Eule, trifft auf seinen Auflegerkollegen Molle aka Mollenhauer, den gut gelaunten Mecklenburger
mit seiner besonderen Liebe zum Groove. Das Ergebnis dieser Begegnung trägt ihre unverkennbare
Handschrift und ist somit ähnlich vielfältig und unterhaltsam wie die Herren selbst. Ein satter Bass
bringt gleich zu Beginn von Candyshock den Kopf zum Nicken, treibende Offbeat-Akkorde steigern
diesen Effekt noch weiter. Der perkussive Aufbau kündigt schon vor dem Break eine amtliche Abfahrt
an, welche schließlich in Form von verspielt- euphorischen Bläsersounds vollends durchbricht. Candy-
drop beginnt mit einer ähnlichen Stimmung, jedoch führt dieser Titel im weiteren Verlauf in dubbige
Tiefen mit harmonischen Tasteninstrumentierungen. Auf der B-Seite wird Candyshock von Mollenhau-
ers Alter Ego Mollono.Bass neu interpretiert. Dieser fügt noch einmal eine ordentliche Portion Schub
hinzu, zwischen den Soundsprenklern aus dem Original wabern dubbige Sounds und ein verträumter,
orientalisch anmutender Gesangsfetzen. Zu guter letzt schließlich haben die Herren Eulenhaupt und
Mollenhauer den Song Candyshop der schmissigen Jazz-Folk-Crossover Truppe Fatima Spar neu arrangi-
ert und liefern einen songartigen Aufbau mit freundlichen Akkordeonklängen und passend dazu eine
herrlich rauchige Frauenstimme. Wie unschwer zu überhören ist, war nicht nur der Name dieses Titels
eine wichtige Inspirationsquelle für die vorliegende Platte. Musik vom Acker für den Acker oder
wahlweise den gemütlichen Abgang im Club des Vertrauens!
