So what exactly is a Marble Nap? A Marble Nap, also known as a Hypnagogic Nap, is a technique used to nap just long enough to experience the transitional state between wakefulness and sleep. You're quite literally floating in the space between consciousness and unconsciousness, but your mind still has a thread of awareness tethering you to this world. By grasping a marble or other small object in your hand during this process, the moment that tether is broken, your hand releases the object to the floor, plate, or pan below, and you are instantly transported back home. You are rewarded with a rested, yet focused and more creative mind, ready to take on the challenges of the rest of the day.
