Reka Zalan is a Berlin-based Techno DJ and promoter. Her sound shifts between hypnotic depth and percussive drive - always tuned to atmosphere and open to different shades of Techno whilst being particularly drawn to gloomier sonical realms. Grounded yet exploratory, her sets move forward, outward and inward, equally building tension and flow whether digital or on vinyl.

Beyond the booth, she’s strongly embedded in the heart of Berlin’s scene – as a local resident at Tresor, staff member at Hard Wax, part of Coppi collective or former co-host of the ://elements series.

 crowd, she now takes her place behind the decks with confidence and vision.
 Her DJ sets are deep and dark, yet powerful, emotional, and full of intention. With every performance, Adi creates a powerful atmosphere, leading dancers on a journey through the mysterious depths of techno — fluid, evolving, and rich in character.
Guided by a deep love for sound and storytelling, her selections are thoughtful, unexpected, and distinctly her own.
Every set is built with care, designed to shift the energy and open new spaces on the dancefloor.
Almost overnight, she became a resident DJ at The Block, one of the most respected clubs in the world. 
She has played alongside artists such as Rødhåd, Peter Van Hoesen, Dino Sabatini, Nastia Reigel, Quelza, and many more.
Her recent highlights include a closing set at the iconic Elements night at about:blank (Berlin), performances at Distillery (Leipzig), Slip Club (Cyprus), and the Sunny Side Festival, curated by the Desert Society collective and with much more on the horizon.

I’ve always loved imperfections. They make me feel more connected to whatever it is. Could be a faded polaroid with dust on it, a single cloud in an otherwise clear sky, or a clap that sounds different each time it plays. There’s something about the unpredictability, the raw edges, that makes things feel more real. Especially in music, that’s what draws me in. So when Upperberry reached out, it felt like the right moment to gather tracks that carry that same imperfect energy and to explore my own path through sound, drifting from dub into house. Bastian Balders contributes an exclusive mix to episode 27 of the TONKASSETTE Podcast, featuring a carefully curated selection of unreleased tracks and works by some of his favorite producers. The result is a compelling insight into his current artistic influences and sonic direction.

Based in Berlin, Bastian Balders is a techno producer, DJ, and label owner who has been deeply involved in electronic music since the late 1990s. He began producing his own material in 2014, releasing on respected labels such as Konsequent Records. In 2019, he founded his own imprint, Balders Audio, further solidifying his position as an independent creative force within the scene.
His career has since taken him to international stages, with performances in China, India, the United States, and Cyprus. In 2020, he made a notable debut at the iconic Tresor Berlin.

Balders’ sound is characterized by driving, hypnotic techno — loop-based, raw, and intensely focused, drawing listeners into deep and immersive sonic journeys.
