This is a processed field recording taken on 19/04/13 in Hamra Street, Beirut, Lebanon.
It was sent the same day to Italy to be played during a live performance of Kisses From Mars in Ravenna. It is therefore a sort of sound postcard from Beirut.

18 Somewhere In Time

Marc Codsi is a main actor in the development of the Lebanese musical scene.
He started as a guitar player for 6 years and 5 albums with post rock band Scrambled eggs.
He participated to the development of the Lebanese experimental scene and its festival Irtijal.
He also created Electronic Duo Lumi which released the album Two tears in Water (virgin records) in 2008 and ‘The night was a liar’ (Keeward residence studio) in 2017
In 2010, Faded Postcards  his first recorded solo work was released.
Many musical collaborations followed as a guitarist, or producer mainly with Zeid Hamdan, Yasmine Hamdan, the Incompetents, Maryam Saleh, Zalfa, and in the cinema field with directors Joanna and Khalil Joreige, Danielle Arbid, and Jim Jarmusch for the film ‘Only lovers left alive’.

Now based between Paris and Beirut, after the release of 'The Silence between the New World and The Aftermath' in 2022 a new album is  to be released in 2023 with DIscrepant Recorords
