It was 2009 when Buddha Bar crashed into my life — somewhere between the stalls of Stanley Market 🇭🇰, the dive bars of Sukhumvit Road 🇹🇭, and those hell‑shacks lost in the middle of a desert 🔥 full of mosquitoes 🦟 and heat no human should endure.
That’s where my passion for this sound was born.

For me, Buddha Bar was the lever point ⚖️, the hinge that opened the door to Berlin house 🇩🇪, techno ⚡, and the whole wave of powerful rave cultures that followed.
Deep down, beneath all the layers, there was always the pulse of a stubborn lounge heart 💛, whispering that the Canary Islands sunset 🌅 had been worth it — at least once in a lifetime.

It felt like slipping between the folds of that sunset while the rastas rolled their schilome 🚬, the party rising between mosquitoes 🦟, seagulls 🕊️, trance beats 🔊, and smoke 🌫️.

Tonight, Collettivo Undersound 🌙 offers a nocturnal tribute inspired by Tha Luccio 🐟 —
a track that simply couldn’t wait until tomorrow to be released.

MFR138 - Runners EP // out 12.02.2016

Canadian label My Favorite Robot Records looks across the pond to Italy for one of its early 2016 EPs.
The act behind the three excellent track release is Speaking Minds, a duo that released on the label back in 2014 and have also put out music on Aeon Records. Simone Sinatti and Marco Paladin have very quickly won fans and acclaim around the world with their inspired and passionate DJ sets and artful take on club music. Here they prove that once more with richly crafted synths and expansive grooves aplenty.
The perfectly seductive 'Marathon' opens up the EP with the sort of moods and groove that would be perfect for a long late night drive. Neon synth lines snake along above a rooted rubber groove and grow more wild as thing unfold. It is the sort of hypnotic offering that really takes command of a dancefloor and never lets up.
A dub mix of the same cut is even more driven, some of the synth drones are stripped back and it is a more cerebral, spaced out techno roller as a result.
The third offering, 'The Last Step,' is another deep space affair with gorgeously designed pads circling round a spacious groove. It is a vast and atmospheric track that really transports you to another galaxy far, far way with its rainy melodies, moody drum kicks and arcing sense of narrative.
This is spine tingling, sensitive music that is epic and emotive in all the right ways.

Clear and stompy, that’s how Pauke Schaumburg’s “Hubble“ is starting. The elements not rushing in, a lot of time to discover that refreshing sound, which is getting a big floor anthem. The second track “Exchange“ is much more melodic from the beginning and it is sending some sunbeams through the clouds in April. At least “Violett feat Sebastian Baumert“ is really intense and trippy. A track full of pleasant sounds, with a great break and a rarely but present used vocal on it. “Runnin’ out of time“ - it is possible with this excellent release by Pauke Schaumburg. 

"Hubble" will be out April 25th 2016.

German producer Marcus Meinhardt debuts on Kittball with a moody single featuring remixes from Stil vor Talents Jiggler and Township Rebellion. Following a streak of weighty releases from Ante Perry, Veerus, Roumex, Illyus & Barrientos and label founders Tube & Berger, Kittball now invite Marcus Meinhardt to their roster. Originally from Thuringen but now based in Berlin, the Heinz Music founder is well known for his releases on Katermukke, Hive Audio and SNOE. With piercing percussion and spectral atmospherics, Duke is an ominous number featuring soaring synths and tantalizing melodies. Township Rebellions remix then marches forward with a chugging bassline, snappy snares and epic chords until Jiggler concludes the package with a low-slung rendition complete with purring bass, dystopian effects and a compelling groove.
