SUBTLE025 marks a quarter century of 12 inch singles on Subtle Audio and the release comes in a special edition silver sleeve to mark the silver anniversary on the catalogue count.

It felt fitting to revisit some of the most significant tunes from over the years on the label and have them remixed by some of our favourite artists, so NCQL's 'Breath of the Eve' gets an exhilarating re-style by Earl Grey and then one of our earliest releases 'All Over' by Senses gets a wicked rolling atmospheric remix by Enjoy.

The Iliads series has enabled us to return to the original sound of the label, and to explore the styles of our original artists. This third volume digs into the darker dystopian Hokusai sound, most notably with the 2 A-side tracks Beyond Measure & Papillon. The B-side track 'Listen With Intelligence' is an ode to the golden age of 1994-7 Atmospheric Jungle. The whole E.P. is vintage Odysee with rolling intricate breaks, deep sub-lines and a whole array of those trademark deep electronic & film-noire samples! 300 Clear 140gm Vinyls on their way as we speak:) Out end of September 2024

Originally from Derby and now based in Barcelona, Modal, a sound engineer by trade, channels decades of passion for the darker realms of drum and bass, drawing inspiration from the iconic Blue Note parties of the late '90s.

The EP begins with the title track, Scripture, which blends techstep and neurofunk influences. This dark, intense atmosphere continues with Trident, alongside Aymat.

Repertoire label head, Law, offers a fresh take on the 2023 track Lost Visions transforming it into a crushing reece and tramen-driven piece inspired by the No-U-Turn sound.

The EP concludes with Abandon All, a more introspective roller
that rounds out the collection.

Presenting Amalgamated Vol. 1, a comprehensive release that brings together Tellus’s first two EPs for the label. This collection is enhanced with three brand-new tracks, offering something fresh for listeners. While digging through his archives for his debut solo album project on Apollo Records, Andy Cato rediscovered this DJ mix on an old c60 cassette. Recorded live from a free party on the South Downs "sometime in the early 1990s", the set is a spotters treasure trove of classic house cuts and captures the musical spirit of pre-Criminal Justice Act Britain. First introduced to the free party scene by his cousin, Digs (of British sound system legends, DIY), Cato spent much of this period circumnavigating the UK in an old Hillman Imp, travelling between the North's illegal party hotspots through to Castlemorton and beyond.

On April 29th Andy will released 'Times and Places'. Over the last 15 years he has been writing this album on the road on tour with GA. From Airport Lounges / Hotel Rooms / Planes / Trains and an array of tour buses. The last two years saw Andy edit all these ideas into one beautiful album. Released through the legendary Apollo Records and R&S Records, on digital and limited edition hardback CD book. There will also be a cheeky vinyl announcement on the way but more of that to come. This is Groove Armada history.
