ØEN Records is back with a special two track EP from up and coming Copenhagen based producer Fruit (@fruitdj). Originally from Iceland, but based in Denmark, Fruit has been making waves in the Copenhagen club scene with his eloquent DJ and live-sets. Following up his acclaimed 2019 Drømmeland EP he is finally back with two epic, fast-paced and euphoric tracks to light up the summer dance floors.

Drawing inspiration from myths and legends and particularly the Epic of Gilgamesh – a 4000 year old poem from ancient Mesopotamia – “Gilgamesh” is a hypnotic and trancey trip destined for the peak hours of the post-corona parties.

Created during the peak of the pandemic on an old half broken borrowed MacBook, the two distinct but kindred tracks are testament to Fruits unique production style, effortlessly navigating between euphoric fast-paced house, ambient soundscapes, hypnotic percussion and haunting atmospheres. Skillfully crafted and executed “Gilgamesh” is primed for both floor and mind.

OS Premiere: Sansibar - NRJ [Kalahari Oyster Cult]

Naysayers of the edit… beware! Remotif taps into the Gen-Z pop zeitgeist under newly-minted alias YASSCORP. to rewire some of his favourite recent earworms into weapons-grade club tackle. Y.A.S.S. is a delectable whirlwind of vocal driven trance youphoria that celebrates the feminine divine by turbocharging it with kaleidoscopic dancefloor NRG.

The rapturous leanings of ‘I’m The Problem’ open the proceedings, a distilled saccharine crystal catalyst that promises to Swiftly jumpstart the function. On the second track, slinky broken beats and low-end heft coalesce with sultry, smoky vocals to make sure ‘U Ain’t Leaving’ the dancefloor.

Transmitting progged-out squiggly acid radiance with more deftly deployed snippets of another iconic vocal in ‘If You Ever Cared’ creates a winning combo that’s sure to be good 4 u. Bad Things ramps up the tempo with pummelling salvo of relentless hyperkinetic sexual potency that’ll have you begging for that sweet release. Finally, an aptly titled ‘Blissdub’ of the first track rounds things off with a slightly more restrained, groove-driven interpretation for all the heads out there.

YASSCORP.  - If You Ever Cared

Close friend of the label, @Tywi is best known for having co-founded Haws with our very own Jmes as well as the boys Sub Rosa and Rhodri Price back when we were all living in Cardiff nearly 8 years ago ⁉️

Since then Tywi has worked tirelessly to craft Haws into one of the most beloved labels on the scene, whilst continuing to throw wicked parties in the Welsh capital and beyond. In the background Tywi has been honing his skills as a producer and over the last couple of years he has released on a couple of compilations and most recently put together his inaugural solo EP on Duality Trax. 

Earth System sees Tywi display a different side to his production, taking inspiration from 90's Goa and prog producers, he has put together a tune that just seems to grow in stature each time you play it. Thanks so much for trusting us with this one mate!

After Denzel’s debut EP ‘Techniques 4 Life’, the quest for finding those approaches continues. The Helsinki night owl draws from a range of influences here on his sophomore EP ‘Glorified Intake’, leading things into a murkier territory than his previous, with tracks made during a transitional period between two cities, H & B.

The first track HKI 13 is an ode to roots. The track is held together by a swerving astral arpeggio combined with chants from a village dance off and stabs that liken to that one Balearic house anthem… The Sun is well on its way below.

Nightrun reduces things to a darker core, howling into the night, embodying a state rather than telling a story. Time goes by, how is it already tomorrow? An after hours tune with a bassline for a hook. Doesn’t get much sleazier than that. Getting down, getting low.

On the flipside, we’ve made it to the beginning of the end, phased out the doubts and gathered up the strength to go on — things are looking brighter. A voice inside your head — trust only yourself.

Finally on the last stretch, light has subsided and darkness has landed once again. We’ve thrown out any notion of what, where and who. Those things don’t matter anymore: we’ve perfected “the state”. It’s go time.
