The new single ‘You and I’ is the first release of 2022 by UK-based songwriter and producer Marc Matthews, via Retro Reverb Records, and precedes a debut EP release in spring 2022. The song ‘You and I’ is a modern synthpop song that retains the warmth and vibe of classic 80s synth ballads, coupled with modern pop vocals and production. ‘You and I’ is a synthpop ballad with a dark edge that shines a light on the theme of control within a relationship and the loss and void left by it. ‘You and I’ is for fans of modern synthpop production with a dark twist and acts such as Nina, Haim, Halsey, and Wolf Alice.

I've started composing around 1997 on Impulse Tracker and DigiBooster. It was a time, when Amiga had been almost dead and PC-scene due to development of the internet, had been slowly vanishing... Then I gave up tracking after chernobyl virus destroyed all of my previous work in 2003.
Few years ago I've downloaded OpenMPT and I've soaked into tracking again... I'm rewriting old ideas and composing new song using this powerful tool.
