Bio:

A regular contributor writer and music reviewer for music magazines - Decoded (UK), Underground Tel Aviv, Frisky Radio; Priya is based out of Mumbai, India. 
A former night club programmer, blogger she has added another dimension to her artistry as a DJ, covering the spectrum of Progressive House, Melodic House and Melodic Techno at some of the most prolific hot spots and electronic dance music nights that celebrate the underground. 
She is one of the busiest DJs in India and on many occasions lent support to artist tours such as Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Khen, Martin Roth, Stephan Bodzin, Just Her, Agents Of Time and many other renowned international artists in her country.
Furthermore, Priya hosts her monthly show on Frisky Radio titled – Provocateur.
Aside from being a prolific performer in India, Priya has also released music on Stripped Recordings, Modern Agenda, Mistique Music, One Of A Kind, ICONYC Noir, Krafted and more.

This year, my journal mix arrives a little later than usual—just past the midpoint of 2025. While navigating both stimulating and exhilarating periods of creativity, this delay has given me extra time to fine-tune the tracklisting selection. 

Building on the conceptual approach of crafting a compilation that serves as a diary—one that captures the tracks that have resonated most profoundly with me, each reflecting my deep personal connection—this edition shines with outstanding new releases I listened to during 2024. In particular, the fantastic work of @SimonVuarambon and @MikeGriego deserves special mention. Marçal Prats is a newcomer Dj and producer. Originally from Barcelona, he is based in London following his endless aim for achieving new creative challenges. In addition to his productions and mixes, he is an established graphic designer.

On 14th July 2023, Marçal releases on Sutil Records (@sutilrecords-sutilvox) his latest production, 'Fascinated' paying homage to the iconic 1987 freestyle disco hit by 'Company B', Marçal has infused "Fascinated" with a modern twist, delivering a captivating dance anthem that will transport you to the golden era of dance music. Ten years before, in 2002, Marçal Prats released in Barcelona his first Tech-house remix for London singer and actress Linda John-Pierre's song 'Night People'. 

Marçal started his interest in electronic music in the 80s, fascinated by High-Energy, Italo-Dance, and its hypnotic arpeggiated baselines. He was soon seduced by the birth of House Music and the crunchy 303 analogue sounds of Acid-House. In the mid-90s, during his first visit to London, he was again seduced by Drum&Bass, Big Beat, and IDM.  In 1995, he won his first remix contest. In the first half of the 2000s, Deep Progressive House became his favourite electronic choice. Marçal continues combining his role as a designer with his devotion to music. As he works on new productions, he has released a series of DJ mixes where he brings together the tracks that have influenced him since the turn of the century.
