As always, we are keenly focussed on sourcing and showcasing the very best that the UK bass scene has to offer. However, we are once again taking things international as we head over to China to unveil this spicy new creation from the one they call Kanetaker.

This is a very exciting debut indeed as the 19 year old displays some fiery talent on this new single entitled ‘Silence’, smashing himself into the very heart of UK bass music today. The track itself is jam-packed with explosive synthesizer slides and grizzly atmospherics, glued together by some experienced vocal work and colourful melodic structure, making this a debut to remember for sure!

Collectif Medz Bazar, created in 2012 in Paris, is composed of musicians of Armenian, Turkish, French and American cultures. Drawing on their respective traditions as well as those of neighboring cultures, the members of the collective create together original arrangements of traditional music as well as compositions of their own.
On stage, Collectif Medz Bazar balances tempered instruments with music from modal traditions, including Middle-Eastern percussion and Parisian voices of various origins (Armenian, Turkish, and French-American), inspired by folk music from Asia Minor and Iran, Caucasian Rabiz and rhythms from Thrace, with touches of Venezuelan sounds, operette, hip-hop, jazz and bluegrass.

The Bearded Man became an A&R at a record label once. Why you ask? Simple, really: he’d always dreamed of being overweight and wearing gold chains that barely covered his monstrous tufts of ivory white chest hair as he sat, gut out, wrapped in nothing but a white towel in a sauna at a spa somewhere, smoking a monstrous cigar. He’d talk business with other people like him and laugh in the steam (there’s nothing like being almost naked with other middle-aged men to get good business deals done), then he’d leave, get in his car and start yelling at people for the next several hours in his convertible as he drove along the coast. When he got to the office (and let’s face it, the office was just a place he’d go to get drunk before he left again and occasionally yelled at some more people), he’d leave almost as soon as he arrived. Yep, the life of an A&R is pretty damn sweet if you ask The Bearded Man. In the end, he got exactly what he came for. However, one day he decided to quit smoking, so he had to leave that world behind. Still, it was fun while it lasted.

Marc Benjamin’s big break came in December of 2013 when his original single, “Riser” achieved a top ten slot in Beatport’s top 100 chart. After that Marc found himself collaborating Laidback Luke on “We’re Forever” and “Tell Me That You Love Me”. As a result of hard work and dedication to his craft, Marc was asked to play at Ministry of Sound London followed by the world famous Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival.

Alongside and after a 5 year weekly residency in Amsterdam’s largest nightclub Escape, Marc Benjamin collaborated with dance music icon Benny Benassi for “Who I Am” which was released on Ultra Music. later Marc released his single “Blow” on Spinnin’ Records which has over 25 million  streams on Spotify.

Marc was summoned not once, but six times for his remix work for the Grammy Award-winning producer, Zedd. Marc’s rendition of big hits like "The Middle" & “Happy Now” made Zedd decide to invite Marc to play on his ‘Orbit’ & ’True Colors’ album tour in Europe. In 2019 Marc released his single “All The Time” on Spinnin’ Records and signed to the Spinnin’ family. In 2020 Marc collaborated with Fedde Le Grand on their single “To The Top”. Later this year Marc Benjamin became a new entry at #27 in the Top 101 producer ranking of 1001 tracklists and also released his single “Losing Focus” on Axwell's label Axtone Records. In 2021 Marc collaborated with Afrojack on their single “Start Over Again”.
