Marcel Cousteau, DJ and producer from Dresden, born in Freiberg in 1981, had his first experiences with electronic music at the age of just three. As a child, he listened to songs by the ‘Neue Deutsche Welle’ and the German electro band Kraftwerk. At the age of ten, he was influenced by a new sound called Chicago House and Detroit Techno... He experienced his first techno event a little later at the age of 15. This was to be the starting signal for his own DJ career, which began in 1999. Marcel played regionally at various smaller techno events and in the early 2000s was given the opportunity to gain experience as a resident alongside Justus and Rockey at the Dancefactory and later at Mellys in Dresden. In 2003 he started to produce his own music, which led to his first release (Pille 01 / Wir tanzen im Viereck) in 2005. This was followed by further releases in the hard techno sector on well-known labels such as Crowbar, Inflicted, Abstract, Naked Lunch etc. Some of his tracks have also been released on various mix CDs and CD compilations. Marcel has already played in well-known clubs and festivals around the globe. These have included the following venues: Tresor (Berlin), U60311 (Frankfurt), Fabrik (Madrid), La Cova (Barcelona), Clash Club (São Paulo), Butan (Wuppertal), Industrial Copera (Granada), Nature One (Kastellaun Hunsrück) and many more. Marcel is currently working on new releases in the field of raw deep hypnotic techno. His sound can be described as hard, dirty, spherical and melancholic.

Marcel Cousteau, DJ und Produzent aus Dresden, geboren 1981 in Freiberg, hatte bereits im Alter von gerade mal drei Jahren seine ersten Erlebnisse mit elektronischer Musik. In seiner Kindheit hörte er Songs der "Neuen Deutschen Welle" und der deutschen Elektro-Band Kraftwerk. Im Alter von zehn Jahren prägte ihn ein neuer Sound, man nannte es Chicago House und Detroit Techno... Sein erstes Techno Event erlebte er wenig später im Alter von 15 Jahren. Das sollte der Startschuss für seine eigene DJ Laufbahn werden, die dann 1999 auch begann. Marcel spielte regional auf diversen kleineren Techno Events und bekam Anfang der 2000er die Möglichkeit Erfahrungen als Resident neben Justus und Rockey in der Dancefactory und später im Mellys in Dresden zu sammeln. 2003 fing er an, sich auch dem produzieren eigener Musik zu widmen, was ihm 2005 sein erstes Release (Pille 01 / Wir tanzen im Viereck) einbrachte. Es folgten weitere Veröffentlichungen im Hardtechno Bereich auf namhaften Labels wie Crowbar, Inflicted, Abstract, Naked Lunch usw. Einige seiner Tracks wurden ebenfalls auf diversen Mix CD´s und CD Compilations veröffentlicht. Marcel spielte bereits in namhaften Clubs sowie Festivals rund um den Globus. Dabei waren unter anderem folgende Locations: Tresor (Berlin), U60311 (Frankfurt), Fabrik (Madrid), La Cova (Barcelona), Clash Club (São Paulo), Butan (Wuppertal), Industrial Copera (Granada), Nature One (Kastellaun Hunsrück) und viele weitere. Aktuell arbeitet Marcel an neuen Releases im Bereich Raw Deep Hypnotic Techno. Sein Sound darf als hart, dreckig, sphärisch und melancholisch beschrieben werden.
