as promised a 2 hour fractal of yesterday's recording from H/eart.h in Amsterdam - Oost. Marko and Valentino have worked very hard for months on creating the perfect space to nurtue the body, the mind and the soul and I believe they hace suceeded and created a listening bar / vegan restaurant that builds a refreshing exemption from Amsterdam's horeca landscape.
As the friday resident I find myself giving a lot of music some air that would find it hard to get played in a normal club and touring context, but in Hearth's micro habitat musical perception works different, time is a bit slower and people a bit more attentive and open, which allows for all kind of excursions apart from the rather linear musical requirements for club gigs.
I will check out the first part of the recording and if i like it and will put it up later as well.
While Hearth is open for reservations 6 days a week, their beautiful DJ Booth is Occupied with hard working DJ's all through the weekend with myself  playing sets every FRIDAY,
ranging musically from ambiant and spoken word tunes , to Nina Simone Dancefloor bombs, and more uptempo Disco, House and Broken Beat. It's an open concept that changes on a weekly basis and invites you to leave your expectations at the door and just open up to a special musical experience.

H/earth -  A Journey To The Heart #1 Part 2 (11.02.22)

As promised I ve put up a part of yesterdays recording online. I am making it a point, if not for anybody else than at least for myself to come each Friday with an almost completely new selection of tunes that otherwise simply collect dust. Only a fraction of the music I buy on a regular is actually meant for club context. I think there were times when I did so many mixtapes people gently asked me to stop. There are still many mixes of mine floating about. But that’s how I stay sharp and acquaint myself with the music. It’s been my first love too, Pause tapes on my mothers double tape deck compact stero. I always felt contextualising music by putting it and in front and after other music, sequencing , is one of the most rewarding things to do to elevate one’s experience. You need to listen to these together, coming out of this mood into that mood. And your brain and heart follows.

What was I saying? My recording from @hearthamsterdam yesterday is up and I enjoy listening to my jams a lot. Played from the heart to be shared with joy.
