Josh Dismond aka Dismond Beats was always destined to have a successful career in the music industry. Dismond discovered his passion for music and began playing piano by ear at the age of five, without any formal instruction. His natural talent was encouraged and developed by his late father, who was a music scholar and music professor in New York who also produced 2 gospel albums and could play 17 instruments . Dismond also has a profound singing ability, having performed with the Phoenix Boys Choir briefly in his youth, He has focused more on his production over the years but looks forward to showing the world is vocal range.
The diversity of being born in a New York Metropolitan area, traveling to Africa to live with his family and study his native culture, then moving to Las Vegas where he was truly raised, graduating from a Las Vegas high school and attending some college in Vegas and Arizona, has given Dismond a unique perspective that is clear in his musical composition and production. Dismond sites Quincy Jones, Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Pharrel and Neptune’s, Kanye West, Just Blaze, David Guetta, Swiss Beats, Red One, Scott Storch, Missy Elliott, Jermaine Dupree as his major influences.

Dismond has worked with acclaimed producer Bobby Ferrari of Vegas View Recording on a variety of projects at the International Academy of Design and Technology in Las Vegas, as well as sought after session drummer and Blue Man Group performer Scot Coogan, international sensation Kary Sit, Rizo and YGB Ent., and German producer Nikki Swan. During his tenure at Platinum Sound Labs in Las Vegas, Dismond was the in house producer on over 200 tracks. In 2012, Dismond’s original music was featured on the E! Entertainment Television hit show Kourtney and Kim (Kardashian) Take Miami Since then he has also had placements in various shows like Nick Cannon's Wild n Out, Basket Ball Wives, Atlanta Exes and rotation on Spotify.

Now settled in Las Vegas, Dismond finds inspiration in everyday life, whether he is working with other creatives in music, film, fashion and theatre or spending quality time with his wife and three children, Josh records ideas beat box style to capture the moment and later tracks with instruments at the studio or his in home studio.
