Lumberjacks in Hell has been founded in 2010. Intimate Friends followed in 2013. For some people the difference or the need for distinction between these two is quite evident but to give you an idea. Lumberjacks is always 100% for the dance floor, inspired by the music from Chicago and Detroit which is not only reflected in the Artists we release. Intimate Friends is a headier affair. Soul, Hip Hop and House are all fair game. If you check the releases next to each other both labels have a distinct sound. And maybe a certain BPM range. This isn't saying that some of the music couldn't have appeared on either label but somehow it all makes sense to me. I'm Rob, I'm 30 from Milton Keynes, UK. 
I've been DJ-ing for over 12 years now but there’s no doubt that music has played a massive role in my life!
I've played on the the local circuit for many years and what I love about performing is having the ability to influence people's emotions & bringing people together through the music that I love.

When your in that moment on the dancefloor; it's just an amazing release of energy. I Always feel much more connected to everyone around me when I’m playing. 
It doesn’t matter what language you speak, everyone understands music, it’s like a universal language.

My go-to genre is House but I also love playing Techno, Disco, DnB & Garage (in that order 😂) and I’ve got substantial collections & vinyl digs of each genre. 
I've always had a real passion for disco and funk, so that plays a big part in my track selection & is probably my greatest influence in terms of genre. 

Since late 2021 i've been hiring out equipment through my business & I’ve now aligned my DJ name with the company to consolidate the promotion of both entities .
