Ain't the Same

Natural born musician and talented songwriter Marcel Ziul has dedicated the last ten years to live performances and recording his music in an effort to share his life experience of having grown up in constantly changing surroundings. A fluent speaker of three languages, Ziul writes English lyrics and accompanies himself on guitar.

Heavily influenced by the blues, soul and classic rock, Ziul's music ranges from funky, guitar-driven pieces to acoustic ballads as well as heavier songs with a retro vibe.

The musician has made two releases through independent US Label Magnatune: "The MZTRIO Live Studio Sessions" in 2010, and "The MZTRIO: First Takes" in 2011. The former is the audio to a DVD of the same name recorded live at COMEP studios in São Paulo, Brazil in 2009, while the latter is an EP of songs also found in his DVD originally intended to be released as a full album and recorded at ALV Studios in Campinas, Brazil in 2008.

According to the official website of the artist and the local press, (source:http://www.rac.com.br/entretenimento/variedades/122533/2012/03/27/marcel-ziul-lanca-seu-terceiro-disco-iin-a-minutei.html), the artist will have released his third album, "In a Minute" by June, 2012.

André de Godoy Verona, nascido na cidade de Araras/SP no ano de 1990, teve seu primeiro contato com a música durante o ensino fundamental. Um projeto realizado na escola em que estudava permitia que os alunos tivessem aulas de violão gratuitamente. Com um violão emprestado começou suas aulas e desde então não parou mais.
Logo, o desejo de fazer parte de uma banda nasceu e só aumentou com o passar do tempo!
Após algum tempo, ganhou a primeira guitarra de seu pai, que mantem guardada até hoje com muito carinho.
Durante a adolescência participou de diversos projetos musicais apenas por diversão, o que aumentou sua paixão e sua dedicação ao estudo da música.
A primeira banda em que assumiu realmente seu lugar como guitarrista foi a L.O.R.D., atuando até o começo de 2013, quando se deligou por motivos de divergências pessoais.
Após anos de estudos na cidade de Araras com o Mestre Marcos Bonato, resolveu ir além e hoje estuda na conceituada EM&T em Campinas, cursando o IG&T e tendo como professor diversos guitarristas renomados, entre ele: Hélio Valverde, Aquiles Faneco e Willian Castro.
Durante seus estudos musicais, jamais esqueceu de suas raízes interioranas, e por isso tem sempre do seu lado sua fiel viola caipira, que aprendeu a tocar sozinho.
Apaixonado por vários estilos musicais (Do blues até a MPB, passando pelo Sertanejo Raiz), leva a sério a música feita com sinceridade, e é exatamente isso que tenta passar nas suas composições próprias e no seu trabalho como professor.
