Get Up Get Down

A work composed in 1981 performed by the string quartet of Montréal with a solo flute in 1982.  The work is in five movements for the string quartet and three movement for the flute that overlaps the string quartet movement. The work is based mainly golden ratio from the Fibonacci series with symmetric proportions. The image is the structure of the work before I wrote the composition.
Une œuvre composée en 1981 interprété par le quatuor à cordes de Montréal avec une flûte solo en 1982. L’œuvre est en cinq mouvements pour le quatuor à cordes et trois mouvements pour la flûte qui chevauchent les mouvements du quatuor à cordes. Le travail est basé principalement sur le nombre d’or de la série Fibonacci avec des proportions symétriques. L’image est la structure de l’œuvre avant d’écrire la composition.

With influences ranging from the lofi pop of Guided by Voices, the gothic melodrama of Nick Cave, the glam of Bowie and the nakedness of Iggy Pop - this is Marc Freak.  Former frontman of Freak Circus and Dead Joe.  An experiment in DIY and lofi.  The odd bum note here, the even odder bum note there.  But with art do we care?
