 It's a hell of a piece and doing it on a MOOG Modular V (even in software version and without a "ready-made" sample) is a fantastic adventure and a hell of a job (first draft in 2007 and release in 2019), but I'm happy about it and if it pleases others... it's even better.

There's an edge to the world right now and our original "Can't Catch A Break" captures a bit of the uncertainty, the tension and the mood.  Joined here by Sam Mendez on both alto and tenor saxes, Daniele Turani on lead guitar, Les Thomas on rhythm guitar and Ed van den Brekel on electric trumpet.   Let's hope that the world gets a break soon.  Be safe, be well and wear those masks and social distance.

With influences ranging from the lofi pop of Guided by Voices, the gothic melodrama of Nick Cave, the glam of Bowie and the nakedness of Iggy Pop - this is Marc Freak.  Former frontman of Freak Circus and Dead Joe.  An experiment in DIY and lofi.  The odd bum note here, the even odder bum note there.  But with art do we care?
