We are glad to welcome a true legend to Kessell's Granulart label, Steve Bicknell, one of the foundations of european techno since the early nineties, creator of the infamous Lost parties and label. As well as the unforgettable Cosmic records imprint.

Musically speaking the minimum / maximum rule has always been in his tracks, a few elements but all of them fundamental, making true abstract dj tools for the most advanced dj's. For this release he offers two original tracks plus an energized remix by Oscar Mulero.

This week we are glad to present one of the most respected Lithuanian electronic music artists @mantas-t! He will take us on a gradually intensifying music trip with a quality selection of distinctive tracks.

Mantas T. - constant sound rebel, vinyl enthusiast, Dj, @Partyzanai record label founder and promoter since 1997. Playing vinyl only he came through as one of the pioneers of Lithuanian electronic music scene. Based in Cologne now, but still between Germany and Lithuania holds residencies in the local underground clubs and runs his own Partyzanai label discovering and promoting new talented artists. Mantas T. sound contains wide variety of obscure and hard to find records and can be described as multidimensional and varies from disco to modern techno.

Pure Echo Podcast #015 - Mantas T.

The first release in Modern Cathedrals' 'Sacred Sevens' catalog, a series of EPs released on 7" vinyl records with additional digital tracks. It features four tracks by Detroit-based artist Uun, and is his second EP on the label. 

The vinyl version features tracks 3 and 4, "Analysis Paralysis" and "Eternal Recurrence."

Uun - Hope Within a Hopeless System [Modern Cathedrals]

From Another Mind founders SHDW & Obscure Shape announce charity remix package featuring an array of rising talents with all proceeds doubled by the German duo and donated to Ärzte Ohne Grenzen (Médecins Sans Frontières aka Doctors Without Borders).

Opening the package, Anterist's remix of SHDW & Obscure Shape's 'Die Weiße Rose' rolls forward with cantering kicks, off-beat hats and murky synths, leading into Jay Clarke's contrasting version with its chuggy bassline, piercing stabs and murky atmospherics - broken up by celestial breakdown at the midway point. Next, Leksom's take on the same track is built upon gloomy sound design and features syncopated drums and oscillating effects.

STXRK then remixes 'Gesang Der Toten Dinge' to create a relentless groove courtesy of precision kicks, delayed notes and tantalising arps. Finally, the package concludes with a curveball remix of 'Die Weiße Rose' from Underher who creates an epic number opening with a suspenseful and atmospheric intro, incorporating a brand new and original serene vocal from Eleonora, before shifting into a meandering rhythm - the result is a twisted and esoteric aesthetic.
