As a Grammy Award winning 6 foot plus Swedish raised in the jungles of Japan, Karin Park’s sound and live performances can be hailed hypnotic and fantastically toxic; captured by a fan’s comment after the latest sold out show at Berghain, Berlin in September.

Now following on from her critically acclaimed “visually striking and emotionally stimulating” album Highwire Poetry produced by Christopher Berg (Fever Ray) and Barry Barnett, “Shine,” continues into 2014 where the dark side of love and poetically induced dance music meet.

Occupying a notably creative space somewhere between the lines of live electronics and more endearing deep slow-burning club jams, Karin Park’s new single “Shine” is a heady throbbing 4/4 mix of deep grooves that maintains a breathless pace and a unique sound.

Karin Park has done only a few, but carefully selected collaborations in the past year and her vocal appearance on "Everything" marked a key collaboration between Karin and acclaimed DJ/Producer Maya Jane Coles, a noir tale of ornithological obsession. The video's director Thomas Knights also responsible for some of Karin’s recent and most striking photo shoots.

The package also includes remixes from hotly tipped Brighton foursome Let The Machines Do The Work, Lovegrove and rising UK Stars Hannah Wants & Chris Lorenzo.

Grammy winner Karin Park’s latest release sees her collaborating with ‘Pandora Drive’, an outfit comprised of renowned photographer and filmmaker Thomas Knights (who achieved recent stratospheric success as the creator of the ‘Red Hot’ project appearing on The One Show and global news channels) and DJ and producer Nick Sheldon Hurricane’ , includes remixes from heavyweights Booka Shade, Maya Jane Coles and Barber.

Park is an artist and singer famed for her innate ability to captivate crowds with her live sets and leave dance floors across the globe yearning for more. This new offering is plucked from her forthcoming album ‘Apocalypse Pop’, due for release on 2nd March 2015, which will mark another chapter in her career of sonic experimentalism.

Park says, "I’ve been following Pandora Drive at very close range pretty much since it was born and I’m very excited to see it grow. Thomas is such a talented musician, photographer and director and when he teamed up with Nick Sheldon I was expecting nothing less than gold. Looks like I was right.”

Initially, the video illustrates a love story; however, ‘Hurricane’, featuring vocals from both Karin and Thomas and directed by Knights himself, is a mesmerizing depiction of a 21st century life and each individual’s constant desire for more, an underlying sense of longing throughout the hypnotic synths and evocative melody. ‘Hurricane is about never feeling satisfied,’ Knights says. ‘It’s about not getting swept up – you have to keep on going.’   
The meeting of dark decadent subject matter with electronica, hypnotic top lines from both and Knights’ skill with visuals makes for an exhilarating and dangerously alluring combination; listeners are tempted to take a bite out of the apple and enter the ‘fucked up alternative world’ they’ve created.

The release comes complete with remixes from Maya Jane Coles, Booka Shade and newcomer Barber. Maya Jane Coles provides a tantalizing interpretation, adding an extra thread of intrigue that is unmistakably hers to the track’s multi-woven fabric. German producers Booka Shade break the track down only to reconstruct it with an agility that can only be achieved after years of pioneering productions. Newcomer Barber delivers a toughened up re-work worthy of a place in the darkest clubs on the most crowded dance floors.

Nicky Night Time came out strong mid-2014 with his debut smash hit ‘Everybody Together’ and demolished dancefloors around the globe. Now he delivers his second single, ‘Gonna Get Better’. This slice of straight up house music with its chunky bouncing low end, heart warming piano stabs & silky vocals of Nat Dunn, feels like an early 90's house anthem you already know & love wrapped in 2015 and delivered by Onelove for the world. 

Everybody Together topped the Australian ARIA charts for five weeks running and scored an ARIA Award nomination for Best Dance Release along the way. Of course, those who know Nicky (Nicholas Routledge on his passport) wouldn’t be too surprised. The producer/singer/guitarist’s golden touch has shone bright through his various incarnations. Since 2002, he’s fronted Sydney digital pop auteurs Van She, who cracked the ARIA Top 10 with their debut record and toured alongside indie royalty like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bloc Party and Phoenix. 

Under the Van She Tech alter ego (with bandmate Michael Di Francesco), he span gold with red-hot remixes of Empire Of The Sun, Tiga, Feist, The Presets and Daft Punk. Notably, their rewiring of Utah Saints’ club weapon ‘Something Good’ crashed the UK top 10 in 2008, revitalising the classic all over again. 

And yet, Nicky Night Time is now his focus first and foremost, whether it’s partying up in the clubs or bunkering down in the studio. Over the last few months, he’s dropped a handful of high-profile remixes under his latest moniker, including re-rubs of Shadow Child and Doorlys’ aptly-titled ‘Piano Weapon’, Tiga’s techy triumph ‘Bugatti’ and Gorgon City’s latest featuring Jennifer Hudson ‘Go All Night’.

They’re the perfect primer for ‘Gonna Get Better’. Blending his potent talent and boundless passion for the genre, the new material guarantees he’ll be one of house music’s hottest properties in 2015.
