Two taches intertwine. An EP born out of Demi’s visit to Melbourne during his AU tour, and Luke’s easily accessible studio based above an inviting pub, naturally the vibes were high after a couple of schooners in the summer sun.’

Life & Death welcomes a standout collaboration from Demi Riquísimo and Luke Alessi with the release of their new EP ‘Yes Bby’ landing 29 August 2025. Setting themselves the brief of, “upbeat rollers and a little bit of naughtiness,” the two producers blend their sonic identities on this club-ready two tracker, formed of ‘Basement Trash’ and title track ‘Yes Bby’.

“Basement Trash was actually the first track we wrote. A funky, fun, hypnotic groover that locks you in on the d floor, made for those late nights (or early mornings) in the “basement” of a grungy club.

For ‘Yes Bby’ we wanted something that worked on a bigger scale. We dialled up the French rave synths, bigger builds, more drive in the groove and added a cheeky classic vocal chop for the hook.”

Known for his genre-blending productions and distinctive edits, Semi Delicious head honcho Demi has steadily carved out his space in the scene, a respected tastemaker and Ibiza mainstay, while Luke Alessi has continued to establish a global profile over the last 12 months with major European and US gigs, plus releases on Shall Not Fade, SMiiLE records and of course Life & Death, making this pairing a natural fit.

Already receiving support from the likes of Chloé Caillet, Call Super, Moxie and more, ‘Yes Bby’ marks an exciting moment in both artists’ trajectories. For Demi, this EP also serves as the first in a new chapter, one that places him at the centre of a more collaborative space, setting the tone for
landmark projects to follow on his own imprint later this year.

SHDW is the phantom moniker of Marco Bläsi, a Stuttgart native with a penchant for racing percussions and big room sounds. 2014 saw the beginning of his long-term partnership with like-minded techno dealer Obscure Shape (Luigi Urban), with whom he co-ran the party series and label spin-off From Another Mind. Ten years later and Bläsi has set out on his own journey, building on a decade-long legacy of sounds with just himself, ‘his music, decks, and a mixer’. Following on from his previous label, he founded Mutual Rytm in 2022, an outlet and creative platform focused on putting out the type of expansive techno SHDW’s come to be known for. His signature style a blend of intelligently superimposed and shuffling basslines, blink of an eye beats that elicit movement and social bonds. Unerring prime time techno, Bläsi’s path forward is looking promising, with a surge of Mutual Rytm releases and worldwide dates, the next ten years look set to further build on what he’s achieved since he started out. Toronto/Berlin producer and Big Trouble Records founder @andrezimmermusic has emerged as one of house and techno’s hottest commodities, fresh off his scorching fabric Records release with Carlita. Now he joins DJ Tennis’s Life and Death label with the announcement of his 4-track Kwon Anthem EP, out September 19.

Arriving alongside the announcement is the lead single “Hypnotizing” — a piano-driven, ethereal cut that highlights Zimmer’s ability to channel rave nostalgia into shimmering, emotive house designed for peak dance floor moments.

The EP also features the standout track “That’s Right,” which has already been making waves across clubs worldwide. With early support from Peggy Gou, Dam Swindle, Massimilliano Pagliara, Alinka, Jorkes, Luigi Di Venere, and more — including rotations at Panorama Bar and viral fan videos from Peggy Gou, Bella and beyond — it’s quickly becoming one of Zimmer’s most in-demand productions.

Across Kwon Anthem EP, Zimmer balances hypnotic, orchestral breakdowns, progressive trance textures built from Roland SRX patches (“Kwon’s Anthem”), and a cosmic, downtempo detour structured around a 707 jam (“Hours”). It’s his most ambitious and wide-ranging statement yet — and a fitting debut on Life and Death.

With support from underground tastemakers and appearances at clubs and parties worldwide, Zimmer’s DJ sets reaffirm a classic but forward-thinking approach to house music.

The inspiration for Skydivers came from a deep need to express freedom, both emotionally and
creatively.

Organic textures, instrumental elements, and striking melodic moments run through the heart of this release. With a deep sense of musicality and groove, Skydivers blends drive and emotions in equal measure, bridging raw club energy with a more introspective rhythmic feeling. It’s a deeper release!

During the process, I found myself drawn to more organic elements! Instruments, textured layers, and subtle melodies that could live within the structure of techno but also stretch beyond it. I wanted every track to feel alive, to breathe, to carry a human touch beneath the rhythm.

Skydivers became a personal journey. Not just a release, but a snapshot of a period where I explored new sounds without overthinking, allowing instinct to guide me.

I didn’t want to follow a strict formula, I wanted to stay honest to what felt right, even if it wasn’t “safe.”

Each track is a part of that story.
