I performed a field recording using the new Zoom H1e Essential by comparing it with the Zoom F3 which features XLR type inputs.
For the occasion I prepared a special stereo baffle to be inserted into a 53 cm diameter parabolic dish. I define this baffle as "Twin Stereo Baffle" as I put two pairs of capsules (four total capsules as matched as possible) in order to have two stereo outputs with two 3.5 mm jack plugs to be connected, one directly to the Zoom H1e, the other using a 3.5mm adapter with two XLR plugs equipped with resistor and capacitor suitable for powering the two AOM 5024 capsules via F3.
Both recorders with Low Cut filter at 80 Hz.
No post processing.
Listening order: first the track with H1e followed by the one with F3, for both recordings.

4 Roe Deer, with one of them barking. I watched the Roe Deer watch me for a bit, and then they carried on their way into the forest. Recorded around 5:55am with parabolic reflector.

A pristine night ambience over a remote forest lake with many beatiful birds: Eurasian Bittern, Fieldfare, Black-throated Diver, Black Grouse and many others, Beavers flapping their tails and moaning, and a big fat bassy propeller airplane passing by. Although we all hate airplanes that ruin our recordings, I find this particular case merely beautiful.  ORTF, so sounds nice both on speakers and headphones.
