Here's a wild Mahavishnu tune I covered in one day!

I memorized most of the solos, too. This is very close to the record!

All of the guitar parts were played on the Marble Head using the Vox
amp with the Lewitt mic. Then for the drums and violin tracks, I
played on the Yanaha m06. I also used one of the clavinets off of the Korg SV-1, and the Rhodes from the Nord 2 HA-88. I played on the fretted bass using the bass pod, and the synth parts were done on the Little Phatty. The gongs were from the Garritan Instant Orchestra "Earth Metal Percussion."

I put a whole bunch of wild effects on some of the instruments. For
another instance of the gong track, I added a flange effect. (I first
put a mono preset in both tracks.) Then for the synth solo, and violin
tracks, I added a distortion effect off of the Cakewalk Ampsim (I
think I used "British Crunch" on the synth solo, and "Fuzz 1" for the
violin tracks.)

Anyway, I had a lot of fun doing this one.

Unofficial second album for Antonio Quijano and the Present Tense (later PAROKSHA)trio of Ben Williams (keys), Phil Gibbs (e.gtr) and Marco Anderson (e. drums). Recorded live direct to digital at Andersonshelta, Bristol, this was a tour de force for the genius composer and bassist, Antonio, who short stay in Bristol also yielded the 'Songs from Another Blue Planet' also available here. 07 07 HANDS BORN TO ANOTHER MAN

Tourists from Hell is the first official (mostly) LIVE album from improvising power trio Paroksha, featuring guitarist Phil Gibbs, Synthesist Capt Ben Williams and drummer/producer Marco Anderson. They were joined on various occasions by local and International musicians, such as renown reedman Paul Dunmall (http://pauldunmall.com)and electronic composer Zenpho (http://www.zenpho.co.uk, others such as UK violinist Graham Clarke, Craig Crofton, US tenor saxman Mike Ellis, John Serry and Tony Hymas (Jeff Beck) to name a few.
Here the trio displays a great breath and diversity of styles from Jazz, Rock, Blues, Ethnic (Afro-beat)and stellar improvisations, culled mainly from three concerts:
Tracks 1-3,5,9 and 12 are from the Bath Festival 2001
Tracks 4 & 8 are from Ashton Court Community Festival, Hengrove, Bristol 2001.
Tracks 6,7,10,11 & 13 are from Spring Gardens, Bristol, 2nd set 02.03.2011, featuring Paul Dunmall (reeds)and Zenpho (loops, sfx, and electronics.

The two bonus tracks Tuning Out (live) and Wooden String Sand are from Hengrove 2001 and Spring Gardens respectively.
