An entropic and otherworldly episode from Taiwanese and London-based sound artist Jin [靜], whose contribution draws parallels between classic, exploratory electronica and modern hyper-sensory techno. Gathering like a humble storm, Jin's mix is compounding and ravenous in its accumulation of material energy, a distillation of sonic pressure, a volatile crush to the senses.

Last year, we had the pleasure of hearing Qmico perform an incredible techno set at Annahme festival in Japan, surrounded by the beautiful mountains of Kochi, and bathed in the bright light of the hunter's full moon. A very profound, psychedelic experience. Listening to this mix over the past week has been a really special way of revisiting those memories. It's an honour to now welcome her to the series <3

Taking his cues from years immersed in dance music culture, his sets unravel connections between genres, where moody soundscapes and atmospheric techno clear a path for crisp breaks and crackling jungle. Josh is also the founder of Seasoned Sound, an exploration project digging through the diverse worlds of jazz, funk, soul and disco to unearth the roots of electronic dance music.
