Spokenn; the musical merging of minds between Ferro and Reiss. 

Whilst initially only co-inhabiting a studio space, a shared love for analogue house and techno quickly led to collaborative sessions with their machines. The friendship between them grew deeper and as time progressed their individual visions on music reached a point of convergence as well. During the impromptu sessions behind the decks at VBX that followed they managed to translate the connection between them into certified dancefloor magic. Naming the project was the only natural step to take. 

Fast forward 2 years and you will find that the duo hasn’t been sitting still. They played several VBX events with international heavy hitters like Raresh, Francesco Del Garda, Vera and Dewalta and are featuring on this year’s billing of festivals like Nomads, Paradigm and Amsterdam Open Air as well. Having already played in Bucharest they will continue to cross borders this summer with gigs planned in Gent and Munich amongst others. With their first release scheduled to drop on VBX just in time for ADE the way forward for Spokenn is looking bright.

Always in constant evolution, Djames never stays too long on a single sound. His musical path comes from an uncontrollable desire to discover new sounds.
His DJ set it's very minimal with indistinct influences from all over the world. He doesn't like to be labeled, and most of all he doesn't care about the name he finds on the prints of the records he buys: always leave the decision to take or leave to the ear.

Some things are lost in translation, such is the case when it comes to the name of our project; music on the other hand never loses any of it's qualities when it transcends borders or cultures. 
Music touches everyone in a different, distinctive way without the need for it to be explained to us. It treats us as a dear friend would, with honesty and respect, letting us express our own opinions. 
Music never gets upset when you disagree with it, or leave it for another song. It will always be there to comfort you when you need it. That's why we think music should be treated in return with the same love, respect and honesty. We believe in the long standing quality of music as both an instrument that connects people in a club context and an emotional and personal journey that each and every one of us undertakes in their own way. 
Our goal is to reach as many people we can through our concept. Musically, by means of our selection of releases, provided by the artists we appreciate and have a sincere connection of friendship and respect with and visually, by means of our concept art that strives to bring to you, the listener, the many landscapes and values of the traditional Romanian culture.
As of now our roster and catalog is relatively small, but with time everything grows and flourishes and in turn, so shall we. We hold a promise of quality and desire to inspire people, people that come from all over the world and seek to learn more about our music and our culture. To these people and all the ones who will follow we say thank you for being here with us, for being a part of our idea.
