Track Description: 

Raw Motion (Uto Karem) true to its title, is a piece revolving around motion. The progressive transition from a simple beat to adding bass, high hat, rattles, and other sounds gives the impression of not just movement, but changing momentum although the pace remains relatively consistent. This song would be ideal for not just remixing but as the base for a strong mash up. 

Power (Kalden Bess) is true to its title; this powerful song starts off with a throbbing bassline that is run through a synthesizer with a saw. The produced sound is similar to a harmonica, giving the nostalgia of the Blues. As the intro merges into the body of the piece, the intense drum track joins with vocals that serve as instruments. This versatile track will leave a tremendous impact on anyone who listens to it. It would be a perfect anthem for any large festival as well as club. Additionally, this would greatly appeal to filmmakers for action and speculative soundtracks. Videogame companies will be intrigued as well.

Keep (Simone Tavazzi) begins with a low bass drum thats soon joined with a synthesizer and high hat. The track is brought through a remixer and feels very circular as it builds up. A fusion of experimental noises complements a deep, echoing male vocal track. This haunting piece would appeal to a broad spectrum. It would be a great opener for any DJs set, mellow enough to set the mood while the increasing intensity draws the listener in, preparing them for a great night out.

I always wanted to do something with a 303, but was still a rookie in 2004 when most of the early tracks were produced, We rented a silver box somewhere and @Martin Buttrich and I started to mess with it. During the recording, I was sorting the CD collection that we kept in the vocal room. The CD collection was SORTED and we had a tune.

Tomoki Tamura’s essential and refreshing label, Holic Trax collects together new house heat for a third
volume of it irregular Tom Tam Club series. Across both a digital and 2 x 12” vinyl release the compilation
offers plenty of club-ready highlights.
Having released music from producers around the world including Rick Wade, Burnski, Tuccillo and many
more, the label has become a favourite with DJs and dancers alike. Now it turns to a mix of new and more
established names for a collection of eight new cuts that offer something for everyone.
Up first is duo, Rough Principles, made up of established producers Ekkohaus & Moire Patterns of labels
like Moon Harbour. Their ‘Pool Back’ is a rubbery, spritely house track with rolling beats and bass and
thick, late night synths that exude real soul.
Grecian Mr. Statik - a big name in his native country as both a DJ resident and producer on BPitch Control
- then gets a little freaky on his ‘Habitual Nastiness.’ There is plenty of slap funk in his drums and intrigue
in his mysterious melodies. It is then to Moon Harbour mainstay and Italian tech king Marco Faraone for
‘Point,’ which is a stripped back, grainy and lo-fi basement house offering with dubby chords and a real
sense of rawness to it.
UK producer and Needwant associate Ashworth keeps things scintillatingly melodic with his spine
tinglingly eerie and spacious minimal track ‘Copenhagen’ before fellow Englishman Brunbjrn gets all stab
happy with the loose limbed, perfectly DIY sounding and ramshackle house grooves of his effusive
‘M'about Ta’.
Dubinsky, who has released on Foals man Ed Congrave’s Deep Shit label prefers a more mid tempo and
airy vibe. His exquisitely jazzy, sun kissed and playful ‘Viol Groove’ is a perfect piece of feel good house
music at its best, then Leftback label boss Dudley Strangeways does his trademark trippy, minimal house
thing on ‘Brown Leaves’, which is a heady, hypnotic and late night track designed for the small hours.
Finally, Baslow’s ‘Closer’ rounds out this excellently varied compilation with a lush broken beat, classic
vocal sample and some truly romantic emotions.
This compilation goes from sun kissed to sweaty and back again, and proves that label boss Tomoki
Tamura really has his finger on the pulse when it comes to enlisting standout producers from across the
world scene.

With the original release marking Rekids return from hiatus, Radio Slave's The Clone Wars is now revisited with a trio of new interpretations from three distinctive talents on house & techno.

On the A side, Markus Suckut moulds the original into the kind of no-nonsense rolling techno jam that has personified his releases for Mosaic and Figure. The B side enlists two US talents in the shape of Parris Mitchell and DJ Spider, with the former bringing a glitchy take on the jacking Chicago house that Mitchell perfected in his timeless productions for Dance Mania, and the latter shaping the track into crunchy weirdo techno that sits perfectly alongside his output for The Trilogy Tapes and his own NY-based Plan B Recordings.
