New York-born singer-songwriter Sometimes Jamiee has relocated from the Big Apple to Austin, Texas. After years of performances and self-recording, Jamie DeFilippis (Sometimes Jamiee) is preparing for new collaborations and exposure as she continues her songwriting career in Austin, TX. The 26-year-old Massapequa, NY native has been recording her own work since 2004. Her first full-band EP (It's Only Your Twenties, 2015) was recorded with well-known producer Anthony Lopardo of The Music Refinery (Love Robot, The Getaway Drive, Diffuser, The World We Knew, Hopesfall, Moon Tooth). Together they created a fully realized and multifaceted collection of songs, which demonstrate her talent in both writing and performance. Lopardo as well as Exemption/Moontooth drummer, Ray Marte are featured musicians on the EP as well.

Jamie has been playing since she was 13 years old, when she received her first guitar as a Christmas gift. Music began for her as a family collaboration but quickly transformed into a passion, when as a teenager she would write and record in her bedroom instead of partying. During her years at CUNY The City College of New York, Jamie studied music production and recording engineering, and developed a small, international fan base on YouTube, gaining attention both locally and at large, as far away as Sweden.

Since then, she has garnered a reputation as a hardworking and sensitive performer, pulling her inspiration from everyday situations and the complex emotions they elicit. Her influences are varied and include Jimmy Eat World, Lucy Kaplansky, Butch Walker, and Copeland. Her incredibly personal and vulnerable songs are representative of coming-of-age as a part of the Millennial generation. The "It's Only Your Twenties" EP speaks to its title, with the songwriter connecting to her audience and their shared experience. 

In 2017, Sometimes Jamiee released "Unreleased Mixtape" which is a compilation of unreleased songs she had written, performed, and recorded herself yet never released. While making the move from New York City to Austin, Texas she also released a demo of her song "Brooklyn" that explains her decision to relocate.
