Back in the UK, the beat and melody came together quickly, resulting in a fun, energetic track with a catchy chorus. The song sounds I think as if it's about obsession and has a big upbeat chorus - however, the song was written at a time of my life when I was going through a really hard time and I couldn't get to sleep - I used to lay in bed at night with anxiety and Pins & Needles would come.
