Lithuanian-based duo Downtown Party Network who lately stirred a buzz with their 'Space Me Out' EP, that got massive support by artists like Dixon, Âme, Mano Le Tough and many more, deliver a stunning remix for LA NUIT. Their version perfectly keeps the mesmerizing vibe while transforming the track into a smooth grooving, infectious, bass-driven dancefloor tune - what a beauty!

My Favorite Robot aren't afraid to pay homage to their influences, as evidenced by this podcast. The basis is formed by a nice foundation of deep techno, yet al the garnish is formed by some synthpop, african drum patterns and wavey disco.

My Favorite Robot tries to maintain the spontaneity of their DJ sets in their live performances, in accordance to their mission of ignoring borders and broadening the definition of electronic music in order to deliver it to as many music lovers as possible: “When we were rehearsing for our first live shows, Voytek suddenly started a spontaneous jam of Alice in Chain songs. Jared and James were completely surprised and thus decided to keep that in our live set.” - C.

To continue the series of my all time favourit artists I am chuffed to share 75min of listening pleasure from Sebastian Mullaert (aka Minilogue) with you. What a yummy Santa Claus surprise :)

Thank you for all the great music you have created and the goosebumps and joy you have given us through your excellent sound! And for taking the time to inspire us with your very interesting and meaningful interview answers.

1. Lucidflow: How does a creative day look/feel like for you?

Sebastian: I try to live a life where I have the possibility to be reminded about my being and at the same time be able to remind other beings about their being. You could say that it's an invitation of the being to the being to be ... Might sound stupid but at the moment I feel that this is the only true meaning there is. I try to let this be the intention behind everything I do; both in my daily life, my zen practise and my creative work in the studio and when I'm performing music on stage.
Like most beings I meet on this journey I also have loads of habitual patterns and unbalances that can be a hinder in keeping this pure intention strong all the time, patterns that I'm unaware about that hinder me and my surrounding to express creativity. Being aware and see this and also gather the strength and faith to face what I most of all want to escape is part of this practise, my daily life with my wife and two children, my zen practise and my creative work in the studio are all amazing ways to do this. This is the life I have right now and I'm thankful for getting this opportunity to let freedom take place; within and outside ... When Plastikman´s - "Ex" was released i got drawn to the track EXpand of the Album. When i heard it for a couple of times i noticed that there could be added something more to it and some track directly popped up in my head that i, till that moment, actually wanted to use as an intro song for my sets. That way i ended up having Gaiser´s "Way Out" in Ableton together with EXpand. The work didn't proceeded that easy as i noticed there will be a lot of detailed things to take care of as i also wanted to keep the live vibe of Richie´s track. With a lot of fine tuning i ended up adding some rhythmic elements to it myself and the planned mash up became a complex rework. As there already was some remixes around "EX" released i thought it might be the right time to present what did came out of some hours of work to have my own unique version of those to tracks.

Smoke Machine Podcast 073 Kangding Ray

Over the course of the last three plus decades, the German born DJ, musician and composer Marc Romboy has become synonymous with a soulful electronic music sound that has taken him all over the world. As well as releasing on only the most influential labels, from Innervisions to Cocoon and Kompakt to Senso Sounds, he is also the sole mastermind behind the influential Systematic Recordings label and has been since 2004.

Nowadays an album specialist, 2006 saw him release his debut album, the captivating „Gemini" whilst in 2017 Marc released his first listening long player called „Voyage de la planète“, a pure electronica album with classical music influence and later, in summer 2017 the live recording of his collaboration with the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra called „Reconstructing Debussy“, in cooperation with Boiler Room hit the stores.

Despite being a key player for so long, Marc is still as relevant as ever and remains right at the sharp end of electronic music. Proof of that comes in the form of his DJ schedule, which takes him from Fabric to Womb and Berghain to Rex, as well as to not one but three separate Boiler Room shows. All three proved Marc to be a dexterous performer who never relies on obviousness or gimmicks, instead telling truly musical stories that place dancers right at the heart of the action.
