We’re happy to announce Stavroz’s first EP on Moodfamily: 'Silent Spring'. Having already released on labels such as Bedrock, Wired and Délicieuse Musique, the Belgian band is ready for their highly anticipated follow up, delivering an EP ready for sunscreen and ripe for the picking. 

In the title track, frivolous bass guitars accompany a broadly shouldered melody and gently carry the track to glory while a snug piano hides in the breaks, building a beautiful contrast. 'A Great Day to Fly a Kite' brings horns straight from miles high, happily intertwining with a ruthless groove, pushing the atmosphere and delivering a quirky impact on the dance floor. 'Should've brought an Umbrella' graciously closes the EP with a touching - and at the same time organic sound.

Canadian label My Favorite Robot Records looks across the pond to Italy for one of its early 2016 EPs.
The act behind the three excellent track release is Speaking Minds, a duo that released on the label back in 2014 and have also put out music on Aeon Records. Simone Sinatti and Marco Paladin have very quickly won fans and acclaim around the world with their inspired and passionate DJ sets and artful take on club music. Here they prove that once more with richly crafted synths and expansive grooves aplenty.
The perfectly seductive 'Marathon' opens up the EP with the sort of moods and groove that would be perfect for a long late night drive. Neon synth lines snake along above a rooted rubber groove and grow more wild as thing unfold. It is the sort of hypnotic offering that really takes command of a dancefloor and never lets up.
A dub mix of the same cut is even more driven, some of the synth drones are stripped back and it is a more cerebral, spaced out techno roller as a result.
The third offering, 'The Last Step,' is another deep space affair with gorgeously designed pads circling round a spacious groove. It is a vast and atmospheric track that really transports you to another galaxy far, far way with its rainy melodies, moody drum kicks and arcing sense of narrative.
This is spine tingling, sensitive music that is epic and emotive in all the right ways.

This edit of Watered by Evident is an 11 minute long cinematique and emotional aural story strung to perfection. It's beautiful.

Mintz is an upcoming israeli duo formed two years ago by Eden and Rami. Both are in love with analog gear, harmonic techno, house & electronica music and already released their first album 'Pulse of our Planet‘ and several releases which showcases their immense creativity and passion to contribute with their music in this world.
They gave ‘Permission‘ a new spin to a lighter groove perfectly suiting the coming summer season.
The melodies seem to flow like bees through trees from blossom to blossom in a fresh breeze of sun warmed air. According to Mintz the story for this remix started with 1979´s first ep on Klangwelt.
His famous track 'Sail' made them realize it was just a matter of time till they would cooperate and when they listened to 'Permission' for the first time, it struck their heads instantly.
"Something in the melody that repeats over and over and creates an endless loop convinced us to make this remix." From the beginning the vision for this remix was clear as they immediately fell in love with Johnny's parts and this is what you can hear when you listen to their interpretation.

Their unique mixture of cinematographic and melodic techno forms highly enjoyable rides throughout every night.

Behind Mononoid are Igor and Andy from Groningen, the Netherlands. They took the word ‘Mono’ (as in solo) and the word ‘nooit’ (Dutch for never), which basically can be translated into "never alone".

I apologise for making a 13 minute track with only 3 different sounds!

It's a bit of a reaction to our constant information bombardment and instant gratification music - you just need to step back from everything for a while and let it wash over for this one to work.

The whole thing is hinged on a sequence of 4 notes playing at different rates forwards and in reverse using Alexander Randon's Fugue Machine. It's a simple pattern but it grabbed me and made me want to strip the track back to the minimum possible number of elements to focus on the pattern.

I think we pick up on the fact that there's an interesting pattern hiding in there in the simplicity. The fast riff that opens up is a classic Juno 6 sound too, which also made me want to put it out there unadulterated. I gave in eventually and added one percussive element and some extra chord layers, but you have to wait about 8 minutes for that.

It's certainly not for everyone, but I hope it works for you...it gets pretty intense too btw, but I guess you've had that before from me.

Steyoyoke’s Family Affair series returns to mark its 6th release to date. The second half of this double release features remixes by Steyoyoke core producers Soul Button, Dahu and Nick Devon.
 
Dahu’s startling opener packs a tremendous punch. His rendition of Nick Devon’s ‘Devotion’ features a pulsating landscape of submerged arps and distorted bass controlled by a brutally efficient groove.
 
Nick Devon returns the favour by applying his talents to Dahu’s ‘Never’. A hectic smattering of percussions and toms set the scene for this aesthetic piece of throbbing techno as ethereal synths weave in and out taking the listener on a spectral journey through Neverland.

Soul Button delivers his second contribution to Family Affair 6 with his Aurora Remix for Clawz SG’s ‘Solace’. An inventive groove full of tambourines and shakers merges with blissful melodies providing a soothing contrast within the EP.
 
Finally, Nick Devon offers one for the soul in his Ambient Remix of Dahu’s ‘Never’. Building on the soul touching keys of the original, Nick Devon elevates the track to astral heights, displaying the more remote corners of his stunning auditory spectrum.
 
Steyoyoke’s 6th edition of the Family Affair project is a jack of all trades, boasting melodic soundscapes and explosive floor fillers alike.

Brash, bold, rich in texture and drenched in soul, ‘Hypnotism’ is the lead off single for Glenn Morrison’s forthcoming club album ‘Dark Waters’ due in the fall of 2017.  Reflections and ruminations make for a creative release, and ‘Hypnotism’ builds upon a repeating motif - there are at moments five melodic sublayers working in good harmony.  A simple yet elegant approach with a nod to the psychedelic and goa styles, this release is a small taster of what the album holds for us.  On the B side duties is the brilliant Italian composer Dusty Kid, whose latest addition to the Fall From Grace roster comes at a perfect time, with his intelligent, melodic composition he takes the record into another world with slight hints of Glenn Morrison’s original motif.  Dusty Kid Dub remix is a twisted affair, with the abscence of the melodic arpeggiated layers being replaced with bubbly robotic blip crescendos and disjointed laser squeals.  On the final close of this release is the brilliant artist Morttagua.  A resident at Green Valley and a heavy touring artist in his native country of Brazil, his interpretation of ‘Hypnotism’ is strong for the big venues and loud soundscapes.  Rolling baselines and building melodic motifs stagger throughout the original ‘Hypnotism’ riff and this package has extremely gifted musicians essentially jamming and composing on top of riff after riff after riff.  This release is being serviced through DMDS Promo and Your Army UK with DJ Promo going out on Friday June 16th 2017. Release date is June 23rd 2017. For our next release we welcome back two of Hamburg’s finest and most recent international exports: Adana Twins. Last seen on our latest Various Artists compilation, the duo returns with three absolutely stunning tracks of low slung, infectious cuts blurring the lines between House and Techno with an undeniable brush stroke of character the two are quickly becoming synonymous for.

‘Flower Of Cane’ kicks things off in an almost sinister fashion with massive low end bursts and a fever inducing, single note that never stops rising culminating in a climactic crescendo of dance floor euphoria while ‘Ortus’ takes a much more ‘up-beat’ approach with dreamy arpeggios and shimmering atmospherics laid over a pulsing bassline resulting in a gorgeous number ideal for a number of memorable moments.

Wrapping up the originals is the guaranteed summer anthem: 'Relentless fest. Jeppe Kjellberg’ where sultry vocals and lush aural artifacts launch sensations to uncharted new heights. Not done yet, we asked none other than the brilliant Andre Lodemann to create his revision of ‘Relentless feat. Jeep Kjellberg’ and he, as always, delivered big time. Trapped In An Orbit

Over the course of the last three plus decades, the German born DJ, musician and composer Marc Romboy has become synonymous with a soulful electronic music sound that has taken him all over the world. As well as releasing on only the most influential labels, from Innervisions to Cocoon and Kompakt to Senso Sounds, he is also the sole mastermind behind the influential Systematic Recordings label and has been since 2004.

Nowadays an album specialist, 2006 saw him release his debut album, the captivating „Gemini" whilst in 2017 Marc released his first listening long player called „Voyage de la planète“, a pure electronica album with classical music influence and later, in summer 2017 the live recording of his collaboration with the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra called „Reconstructing Debussy“, in cooperation with Boiler Room hit the stores.

Despite being a key player for so long, Marc is still as relevant as ever and remains right at the sharp end of electronic music. Proof of that comes in the form of his DJ schedule, which takes him from Fabric to Womb and Berghain to Rex, as well as to not one but three separate Boiler Room shows. All three proved Marc to be a dexterous performer who never relies on obviousness or gimmicks, instead telling truly musical stories that place dancers right at the heart of the action.
