“Be patient, and don’t expect any results really quickly,” says German techno legend Chris Liebing and even though he’s talking about pursuing a career in the DJ world these words ring true for all of us. Good things take their time folks. 30 years into his career The DJ and producer is celebrating one of his biggest milestones with the release of his sophomore album Another Day. 

We talk about slowing down with music and embracing its delayed gratification in a fast-paced world.

Who says you have to wear black on black and be serious when it comes to techno? Turns out you don’t. Industrial techno heavyweight Paula Temple had some fun during her B2B with SNTS dressing as a bride and wore a bold, bright red dress during her CRSSD 2021 set delivering powerful punches throughout the night. 

Paula is back on the road and ready to go. She was nice enough to sit down with me to talk about what life has been like for her since her last SoCal visit opening up about her career trajectory and sharing why being you is all that matters.

Hailing from humble beginnings in the UK underground, Dax J needs no introduction. One of the modern day faces of techno, Dax has been involved in the scene since he was a young kid DJing on pirate radios in his hometown. Now running his own label Monnom and his own Dockyard Festival during the annual Amsterdam Dance Event, Dax is a certified tastemaker these days. Don’t count him out as just another techno DJ, though. Dax’s roots in other genres such as garage, jungle, DnB, and more provide constant inspiration to him as an artist. Dax sat down with us ahead of his headlining performance at our own REFORM festival to discuss his underground inspiration behind his Soul Enforcer EP compilation, benefiting the Ukrainian crisis.

Mihut is a Romanian DJ that has been around music since childhood, collecting vinyl records as well as old instruments, and starting to take piano lessons at age 7. When he was 16, he was already roaming around the decks of Celentano beach, one of Romania's founding places of electronic music.
 
His first release was on Everyday Paradise in 2016, followed by music made as This Moment On, a project he co-founded and with which he co-hosted on the famous Bassoradio, a bi-weekly radio show influenced by his native Romanian sound, playing groovy and uplifting sets, the bond between new and old, minimal, techno or deep house.
 
In 2020, he founded The Sound Collective, a record label, radio show and a group of artists that share the love for vinyl and electronic music. Also, he co-founded the electronic music duo, H2B ( Hel2Buc), performing at festivals such as Electric Castle.
 
In 2021 released two Ep's, one on its own imprint, The Sound Collective and one Hearth Records in Spain.
 
Nowadays, you can find Mihut playing often and throwing parties in Helsinki. He had guests like Fouk, Fictiv, Asenn, Sepp, Miss I. Also, he host a radioshow on Radio Helsinki.

Joonatan Hongell, founder of Minimal Rhythms, record collector, DJ, and producer from Helsinki, focus on grooving, stripped-back, hypnotic, trippy, and minimal sound.
