About this edit :
This past year I’ve fallen in love with some old musica andina from Uruguay, including the famous duos Los Olimareños and Los Hacheros.  This beautiful song with its haunting harmonies lodged itself in my head immediately…I gave it a slow house revision with cumbia percussion and added some shimmering synths to complement the original strings.

Yemanjo’s sound is a unique fusion of downtempo and organic house beats with traditional sounds from Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. The previous five years have seen Yemanjo touring the world while releasing prolifically with top labels in the genre such as Cosmic Awakenings and Cafe de Anatolia, and a full-length album for Wonderwheel Recordings is in the pipeline for Spring 2024.

Label artist Khen has done a special 'Bronzed Re-Edit' of his classic 'Sunflakes' track. As a thank you for the great support we received on his 'Pollen Spreader EP' we're offering this as a Free Download. The Original version proved to be one of the biggest tracks of the summer season, earning regular play from Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J and Guy Mantzur. Eventually released in mid November, the track enjoyed immense success, reaching #13 in Beatport's Progressive House tracks chart (almost unheard of for an underground record). Now five weeks later it still sits in the top 50 and Khen has given it new life with his aptly coined 'Bronzed Re-Edit'. With an indistinct take on the melodies  and new found atmospheric focus, the much loved Israeli artist has crafted another exquisite dance floor gem. It's unique combination of warm ambience and rugged grooves produce a tranquil yet raw beauty. African revolutionary Knight, Bonga. A versatile and accomplished dj/producer, Tenerife’s
musical prodigy parses the 70’s original, injecting a bit of pep into its step to pique the soulful
danceability out of the legendary Angolan folk and semba singer/songwriter, born Jose Adelino
Barcelo de Carvalho’s saudade-saturated and politically charged requiem. Nestled in Latin
infused rhythms and romantic acoustics, Bonga’s effusive rasp cracks Fierro’s crisp beats,
tropical groove and voltaic fusillades, rendering a delicate 5:39 minute sojourn that captures and
retains the complexity of uncertainties from its time or any other, for that matter. Whether in
post/Colonial Angola where Mona Ki Ngi Xica was born, or within the exiled humanity of today,
MBR404 pins the universality of loneliness but handles it through curative motion all at once - a
