
Conceived backstage at a Strong South gig, five years ago come June, the alternative pop collective Nobenta, displays raw beats, unadulterated riffs and intimidate soulful vocals.

A crossover of creativity, Nobenta is the brainchild of Pepay (guitars, lead vocals) and Marcus (lead guitars), and they later teamed up with Paulo (bass) and Klein (drums and percussion), sharing their skills and adding dynamic beats to their tunes.

On July 11, 2009, Nobenta was first heard performing live on the Dubai airwaves, reaching out to a wide audience of mix listeners on Dubai Eye 103.8 The Open Mic, with their first original composition “Snooze” – after just a month together.

The band went on to debut live at a Blacksheep gig, and have since played gigs at the Music Room, Wafi Rooftop, Club Mint, Alpha Club, Home Concerts, Rocknation Events, and Roots, to name just a few.
