Au cours des dernières années, le son de Laurent a changé vers un son house plus organique, mais une chose reste la même... son amour pour les vinyls !

De nos jours, il est dans la scène de la House Music, diffusant des sons jackin 'house et underground house de qualité!

Laurent Sparks, dj from Mulhouse, France.
He is the owner of the French podcast series Little Routine launched in 2014, which in a short time has gained an admirable reputation for purveyors of true underground house music.

Between 2000 & 2003, Laurent and a few like-minded friends opened Vinyl Vital Records in France. Over the past several years Laurent’s sound has shifted towards a more organic house sound, however, one thing remains the same his love for records.

Nowadays he's into the house music scene, spreading quality jackin' house and underground House sounds !

Back in the post acid house mists of time, a new kind of dance music began to emerge called 'deep house'. We know, hard to believe! 

There weren't many places to hear it; Plastic People and Space in London, DIY and The Bomb in Nottingham, the Sub Club in Glasgow, and in Manchester, Robodisco.

It started as a one off Thursday at The Paradise Factory with Derrick Carter in his first Northern gig, went weekely on a Wednesday round most of the city's venues before settling in to its glory years at Planet K.  

Of course, it wasn't just 'deep house' but house of every stripe, disco, techno and anything that moved the floor. The DJ list is pretty eye watering to look at  now; Josh Wink, DJ Harvey, Farley & Heller, Kerri Chandler, Romanthony and the list goes on.

But of course, like all the best clubs, the residents were the ones who really rocked it. Miles Hollway, Elliot Eastwick, Ben Davis and a little know Parisian called Erik Rug who could blend Detroit, disco and the deep stuff in to a heady brew of mayhem.

So crank the air raid siren, light a fag, crack a Red Stripe and get dancing in your oversized cargo pants x

First remix release on the new Music.Art.Ppl label. It's a remix of R&B artist JSP's debut single “Don’t Worry”. The MAP collective fell in love with the track as it has a strong mental health message behind it which resonated with the crew in a big way.
This remix took an already great R&B track and gave it a groovy house bounce. Lyrically there is a strong focus on empowering one’s self with community and letting go of the superficial. Sonically, Tmorr, JFUN & Pithra spice it up with some Deep Bass, Rolling Drums and Synth chops which channel artists such as POMO and Kaytranada. The track is also a debut for the label Music.Art.Ppl which has folks excited locally and internationally.
