Twenty three year old Dancehall/Reggae artist Dre Kalil says his music represents everything that society and his life is about. Dre Kalil comes to the fore with a bundle of hardcore rhymes, melodies, killer hooks and is undoubtedly one of dancehall's promising lyricist.

Describing himself as an ‘in di streets yute’, Dre Kalil, who's real name is Travis Slowley, was born on January 6,1996 ‘in Kingston, Jamaica at the Victory Jubilee Hospital. 

Dre’s first attempt at committing lyrics to paper was age 12, and by 17 he was already recording and producing his own records. Whilst at Old Harbour High, where he completed his high school studies, Dre balanced school and the groundwork of a solo career by recording music in and around local studios whenever he got the chance. At Old Harbour High he copped several CXC and CAPE subjects with a diploma already under his belt. 

Throughout his career as a young aspiring artist, Dre Kalil has also gained the acknowledgement of some established Producers such as Trouble Mekka and Jeremy Harding who feel that the young Dj has what it takes to compete in the industry and truly represent the culture and dancehall music. Every day Dre Kalil seems to make a new fan as more people, whether in Jamaica or internationally, become familiar with his music. His music can be found today on several Major music platforms such as YouTube, ITunes, Spotify, Amazon etc. Dre Kalil has certainly come a long way, as he has grown quickly with his new style of crafting music. His life experiences served to cultivate his mind with an intense focus and an innate ability to think on a high level, usually attributed to a man older than 23 years. His fans receive the benefit of this as Dre Kalil is able to clearly relate his unique experiences to listeners through his vivid lyrics and cool figures of speech. These are just more milestones being met in the life of the young, talented Dj. Growing up, Dre Kalil was mostly exposed to the world of reggae because his father was also a lover of music. Dennis brown was one of his favorite, a legendary Jamaican reggae artist. Dre Kalil is inspired by a number of reggae artistes such as Dennis Brown and Beres Hammonds. However, in the lights of the dancehall world his crafty music truly reflects the inspiration of Vybz Kartel, Bounty Killer and Masicka.

As a result of Dre’s continuous development of his talent, gaining more and more experience in the world of music he was contacted, contracted, and signed by 'Versii Don Records' located in Philadelphia, United States (2016), whom saw the vision and talent of the upcoming artist. After 2 years of work with the company due to contractual disagreements Dre and Versii Don Records both part ways and now working independently. Dre Kalil is currently working on a few singles produced by numerous record labels around the world including his upcoming label (PermaFrass Entertainment). He is now seeking to promote his main track titled  'Man A Star' produced by Trouble Mekka Music based in Kingston, Jamaica. His personal style is not that of a typical artist. His craft is dubbed as dancehall meets urban pop rock culture. A recording artist with melodies and lyrics.
