A favourite on the Halifax music scene for over 10 years, they bring their high energy show of R&B favourites from classic Motown to James Brown, funk, disco and beyond. The Mellotones are among some of the most skillful and in-demand musicians in the region. They are a tight ensemble with top-notch vocals and powerful horns backed by solid funky grooves.

Meet the Halifax Funk Legends! Band leader, sax player and lead vocalist is Jeffery Mosher. His fellow vivacious horn players are Jody Lyne, Rob Crowell and Eric Landry. Their dynamic rhythm section reads like a who’s who list of the best in town featuring Brad Conrad, Ian Mosher, Lil Thomas, Mike Farrington Jr. and Damien Moynihan.

Confidence and charisma are what this group know - and they deliver. Members of the band are in high demand as recording and performing artists with talent like Matt Mays, Garrett Mason, Nathan Wiley, Asia and Nu Gruv among many others. They have shared the stage with celebrities like Dan Akroyd, David Foster and Nathan East. I am a breaks and hip hop producer from Ottawa, Ontario. I combine modern techniques and sounds with old  music. 

Nathan owns and operates Swancore Productions, a Stratford based promotion and concert business. Self identifying as a Music Virologist and Community Developer, he currently is the co-musical director for Savour Stratford, musical director for The Virtual Blackout, and co-promoter for The Stratford Blues and Ribfest. His passions are music, food, photography, networking, and community building. Nathan loves Stratford and loves documenting life in the city on his camera. He is a music junkie, collecting music and attending numerous concerts. Nathan is an entertainment reporter for Start Stratford (Stratford's Online Entertainment Magazine). He consults and coaches bands. He is a musician and recording artist and is currently studying Sound Design and Music Production to gain a more intimate perspective on the inner workings of the music industry. One of his ultimate goals is to help put Stratford on the global musical map and even the playing field with Drama in this town; to see music garner the same respect. He sits on the newly developing local music archive committee. Nathan strives to foster musical possibilities in the town of Stratford and see the scene flourish.
