Part two of Marcus' 2021 Just Add Sunshine set, taking on the later hours of the night/early hours of the morning, starting with the beautiful, melancholic vocals of 'Pause' by Beacon & Kolsch, then building up the tempo with breaks from Blutch, Robert Babicz, Tim Engelhardt and Rodriguez Jr. on to 'Calma Calma' by Robag Wruhme which gives C'hantal's classic vocal 'The Realm' a new life.
The mix finishes with a techno edge, with tracks and remixes by Sam Goku, Luke Slater, Opal Sunn and Danny Howells, then back to the breaks and electronica, ending with the epic Plaid remix of Ricardo Tobar's 'After the Movie'

All of us here at All Day I Dream have been super excited about this release for months. Not only does it contain the gorgeous original mix from Maher Daniel and Jon Charnis that has been melting ladies hearts all summer long but we also have quite a superb remix. Luca Bacchetti's Endless label is one of our favorites here and it was only a matter of time until we knew we were going to (gently) prize something special from his musical soul.  

His remix has caused a little bit of a stir. We've been bombarded on a daily basis with requests for it. Well, for all you bombarders, it's finally here. Initially we only sent it out to a tiny handful of friends and family. Dixon and Ame both played it in Panorama Bar on  the same night, and it's been a staple track in Lee Burridge's sets all summer. It never sounded better than at Burning Man festival this year and those lucky enough to have been there will attest to the mystical journey it weaved as it meandered out of the Robot Heart bus's perfect sound system and across the playa. One of it's most memorable moments, so far, for sure. Now it's time for you to create your own magic with it. The hardest decision you'll have to make is deciding which mix to play. 2015 begins with a new monthly resident for Just Add Sunshine as our friend Ben Andrews becomes a permanent member of the team. 
The usual concept continues but with Ben's more chilled style this new era will take the podcast along a similar format to our idol, Nick Warren's Soundgarden show, bringing you more of the weird and wonderful... The 2nd show of 2015 starts off with Ben's hour, a real genre crossing experience from the Indie musings of Panda Bears - Lonley Wanderer to Thom Yorke's haunting Modern Boxes. Interspersed with rising atmospheres, twinkling piano sounds and the deep house imaginations of Luc Angenehm and Lawrence. A journey through electronic music with a film score-esque feel throughout.

In a game of two halves, Marcus takes the tempo up a notch for the last hour, with new material from John Tejada, Clarian with Henry Saiz on the remix, Petar Dundov and Dale Middleton.

Just Add Sunshine is now 4 years old and in celebration we thought we'd mark it with a good old fashioned Ibiza style after dark session.

The first hour mixed by Ben explores the atmospheric side of dancefloor progressive with a re-edit of Jose Gonzales and Clarian's excellent take on m83. In between you can expect to hear Booka Shade, Quivver and Jay Tripwire.

As a kid from the UK growing up in 1980s Manchester, I was privileged to live through the Factory records era and enjoy the booming music scene as It reshaped the city's image from 'dirty old town' to the global mecca of nightlife and creativity it is today.
While the warehouse and club scene was beginning to bubble away, I spent my early teens listening to mixtapes from the likes of Sasha (who began his career down the road and has curated the soundtrack of my life ever since), the DJs of the Thunderdome and Hippos (Jay and Moggy) and the legendary 808 State Show - at the age of 16 I was invited down to the Sunset studios to play a live  guest mix on the show and was booked to play my first club gig in the city, warming up at Parliament Nightclub.
I spent many years clubbing and DJing around Manchester and the City Centre, developing my DJ style taking influence from the DJs of the Hacienda, Bugged Out and Tangled and became hooked on the Progressive House scene led by Sasha, Digweed, Renaissance, Cream and the Global Underground mix series.
After a summer DJing in Cyprus in 1999, I returned to Manchester and held several residencies in bars and clubs around the City; Dry Bar, Joshua Brooks, South, the wonderful sweatbox where I'd spent my twenties bouncing, Tangled and more recently Soundcontrol.
I've been lucky to DJ with many of my idols such as Nick Warren and Jody Wisternoff, Hybrid, Ashley Casselle.
30+ years on, now living in Cairns, Australia, I'm still hunting new sounds to share with anyone who will listen to this veteran of the bedroom DJ scene.
