Marcus Graham - Just Add Sunshine - August 2012 (DOWNLOAD)

As a kid from the UK growing up in 1980s Manchester, I was privileged to live through the Factory records era and enjoy the booming music scene as It reshaped the city's image from 'dirty old town' to the global mecca of nightlife and creativity it is today.
While the warehouse and club scene was beginning to bubble away, I spent my early teens listening to mixtapes from the likes of Sasha (who began his career down the road and has curated the soundtrack of my life ever since), the DJs of the Thunderdome and Hippos (Jay and Moggy) and the legendary 808 State Show - at the age of 16 I was invited down to the Sunset studios to play a live  guest mix on the show and was booked to play my first club gig in the city, warming up at Parliament Nightclub.
I spent many years clubbing and DJing around Manchester and the City Centre, developing my DJ style taking influence from the DJs of the Hacienda, Bugged Out and Tangled and became hooked on the Progressive House scene led by Sasha, Digweed, Renaissance, Cream and the Global Underground mix series.
After a summer DJing in Cyprus in 1999, I returned to Manchester and held several residencies in bars and clubs around the City; Dry Bar, Joshua Brooks, South, the wonderful sweatbox where I'd spent my twenties bouncing, Tangled and more recently Soundcontrol.
I've been lucky to DJ with many of my idols such as Nick Warren and Jody Wisternoff, Hybrid, Ashley Casselle.
30+ years on, now living in Cairns, Australia, I'm still hunting new sounds to share with anyone who will listen to this veteran of the bedroom DJ scene.

Started Djing as a hobby back in 1998 and it still is today. I'm into all styles of music! No matter if its on 2 decks and a mixer or live. Its all one main idea or concept. Its amazing how music has changed with the use of technology. I know when, I 1st started to figure out djing. I never would have thought that I would be using so many tool to create my sound and control the sound of the music I'm playing. I hope you all like what I'm trying to do and comment(Good or Bad)on what you hear. Thats the one of the ways I have been able to learn and improve my style/knowledge. Which in the end will make me a better Dj. Thank you, for your time!! :)

I like to inspire friends and followers to listen to music that makes them smile, dance, take a journey , think and overall cherish everything about being them. I try to keep my mixes as non-commercial as possible, just to ensure they are timeless.

i like listening 2 amazing artist magic for all ears,eyes and soul's 2 enjoy there own adventures have been doing so for a number of years and love sharing so the world can enjoy them also. What better way to change so many mind sets with different forms of Magic Music just depends on the mood what style one needs :P   Huggles <3

Long story short...I broke my arm and got into mixing. Now it is my passion and I am trying to make something of myself. I hope I can move you the way music moves me.
