2023 sees Dole & Kom launching their new home base ‚Smoking Hit Records‘. The first release Ardani is an uplifting Melodic House track with an irresistible groove, those trademark Piano Chords and lush, euphoric Strings. 
As support for the premier output the guys team up with Hungarian House Hero Péter Makto. His remix is a more stripped down version focusing on the arpeggiated sequences.

The vocals were recorded in a small studio in Negrille, while Sabo was visiting Jamaica and DJing at the Tmrw Tday Festival. Sabo was referred to this studio by his Rasta taxi driver Ricardo, and on the first visit, after waiting a half hour for the engineer to show up, he was told, “come back round tomorrow and play da riddims fah mi singer”.
When Sabo returned the next day he met the beautiful smiling Steffy Biz, and in just two takes she laid down the vocals for Pum Pum Technician. Loving to work on music in collaboration with others, Sabo reached out to an old friend. Having remembered some of the ground breaking fusion tracks Makossa & Megablast released in the mid 2000’s on G-Stone records, which combined international rappers and singers over electronic tribal beats, he knew Megablast would be into the idea of re-igniting a “ragga dancehall” influence into modern house music. Megablast took Sabo’s idea and went even further into electronic cosmic sounds, reworking the original 4 on the floor groove into a uptempo dancehall breakbeat rhythm in the spirit of the Jamaican „Punanny Riddim” with an organic tribal flair.

I hope you’re here for groovy house music – if so, feel free to kick back, have a good time, and enjoy my latest tracks.

If you’re curious about my backstory, here’s a short snippet:
I started producing music in my bedroom apartment about seven years ago, inspired by my curiosity to record the piano improvisations I developed during my classical training. After picking up DJing in local clubs, I quickly gravitated toward funk- and disco-infused house music.
My first successes came with the two tracks Medicine and Easy on You, which to this day form the foundation of my sound. Over time I experimented with techno for a couple of years, however I constantly felt like the positivity and lightness was missing in my productions, which is why that chapter is now closed, and you can expect regular releases in the house sound I originally set out to create.
I make music because I love the feeling of creating something unique that lasts forever. There’s nothing more rewarding than enjoying a newly crafted combination of melody and rhythm, refining it, and watching it grow into a piece of music that – hopefully – makes a positive impact on other people’s lives.
