On the remix duty for 'Tuning' we have Marcus Raute one of the most prolific artists of the label. Following the sucess of his 'Soul II Soul' Ep with Ron Boos, he is back again.
Our boy grabs the original vibe giving it his dancefloor touch. The result is a banger, with analog touch drums, basement House. The pads coming and going. Without fear. Well done Marcus!

Peter LC, a producer known from Small Great Things’ “Small Great Tunes Vol. 1” Compilation (SGT002) which came out last summer, blesses us again, this time with a full EP titled “Walking On Clouds” (SGT003) coming out soon. The title nails the mood perfectly. We’re thrilled to present four tasteful house music compositions.

Starting with “Dance With Me Baby”, the producer opens the EP with a bang. The track features Wurlitzer riffs and soulful, ear-wormy vocals on top of busy percussions - a combination which undeniably delivers a powerful groove.
The energy on the A side seems to go a level further with the second track. Marc Brauner and Luca Olivotto, two artists closely related to the label’s creative output, have remixed the opening track and took it in a slightly different direction. Piano riffs and the specific choice of synthesizers gave this version of “Dance With Me Baby” a kiss of the 90s sound aesthetic.

The B-Side starts with the title track “Walking On Clouds”. The track features a beautiful dialogue of sampled voices describing ideas about music and it’s creation process, underlined by relaxed and blissful pads with a groovy bassline and a soft breakbeat. With “Baby Don’t Go Away”, Peter LC takes the energy higher once more and closes the EP with a proper “booty-shaker”, serving groovy basslines, vocal samples, piano chords and a whole lot of snares and claps!

The producer fell in love with 70's disco and started producing soon after his DJ career begun. His style is usually marked by research focusing on house music and includes influences which are deeply rooted in disco, jazz and funk inspired by 70's italian records and the most avant-garde sounds. Pietro La Calamita comes from Matera, south of Italy, where he had the chance to propose his music to thousands of people during numerous performances.

PREMIERE: Peter LC - Don't Go Away [Small Great Things]

"Small Great Tunes Vol. 2 is another strong compilation of original tracks (three on each side) by artists of the Small Great Things. label. 

The record starts with “Something Hot”, a collaboration of Marc Brauner & Luca Olivotto, a truly hot dancefloor shaker based on groovy basslines and chord stabs, spiced up with vocals and saxophone chops. A2, “Malf Hoon” by UC Beatz, is a warm sounding, smooth house track with a rave-like bass sound and long, progressive percussion buildups. The A-side culminates with “Down Mode” by Lis Sarroca, an 80s-inspired bassy house track, which is slightly darker and suited for heavier sets. 

The B side starts with “House Nation” by Marcus Raute, a straight-forward house banger in the tradition of the genre. You get groovy piano chords, a strong house bassline, vocal “yeahs” etc. A simply great tune with a lot of power. “Dorado” by Kid Simius is a dreamy and slightly eclectic tune with moody Juno sounds, subtle guitar solos and a beautiful storytelling voice in the breaks. “From Back In The Day” by Habibi Grooves, the last track on the B-side is a deep tune with techy percussions and moody synthesizer loops. The heavy sounding rhythm section in this one makes sure it’s distinctive in any house music set. “Small Great Tunes Vol. 2”, the fourth vinyl record by the Small Great Things. label featuring 6 original tracks is surely a must-have for DJs and lovers of house music. Delivering a unique variety of bangers and tooly tracks it will prove to be very useful in sets and boutique record collections alike."

Feedasoul Records gets a thumping two-tracker courtesy of label newcomer Ron Boss. This EP centers around connection and collaboration. Ron Boss teams up with Street Sound and Marcus Raute on 'Never Give Up', a house cut reminiscent of the UK scene. A no-nonsense 4/4 rhythm, scintillating hi-hat patterns and a wobbly synth bassline provide a driving foundation for the mesmerizing vocals and heartfelt keys. On the flip side, Ron Boss and Street Sound display a side that is both intricate and delicate. 'One Day' builds atmosphere from the start with spacey pads gluing the heavy tribal percussion while horns build up into the mix. The track culminates with the drums taking the backseat, beautifully balancing the percussion and horns with the atmospheric synths pads and breakdowns. A heavy hitter of a track.

Ezra Collins is back with his new EP, Natchez Dub. The American producer is a regular on Colour In Music, and he's known for his deep and underground sound. 
This EP is no exception, with three original tracks and one remix. Collins' production is always top-notch; detailed, groovie and deep and his tracks are sure to get you moving. 
The remix on the EP comes from Italian producer Marcus Raute. Raute is also known for his Deep House sound, and his remix of "Natchez Dub" is a classic house track with a modern twist.
