ISMIR Biografie:



Hinter dem Projekt Ismir steht Robert Schmidt,1985 geboren und aufgewachsen in Nord Deutschland, zwischen Hamburg und Berlin.
Im Alter von 13 bekam Robert seine erste Akustikgitarre und von dort an hat es bis zur 1. Schulband nicht mehr lange gedauert.
Seit dem spielt Musik in Roberts Leben eine große Rolle.

2001 hatte Robert den ersten Kontakt mit Psytrance und verliebte sich sofort.
Seitdem ist er ein Bestandteil auf fast jedem der in Norddeutschland stattfindenden „GOA"Festivals.

2011 durch einen Berufsbedingten Umzug nach Berlin, erlernte er schließlich das Auflegen und das DJ-Projekt Ismir war geboren.
In den ersten 2 Jahren konnte Robert sich schnell einen Namen in der Szene machen. Mit weit über 100 gespielten Gigs, unter anderem in Israel, Waldfreien Wonderland und Spirit of Goa, sowie als Resident im Tacheles Berlin, um nur einige Namhaft zu erwähnen.

Daraufhin beschloss Robert, sich auf sein Liveprojekt zu konzentrieren und 2013 war es dann auch schon soweit, dass er sein LIVE Debut feiern durfte.
Seit 2013 konzentrierte Robert sich ausschließlich auf sein Liveprojekt und konnte damit bisher auf großen Veranstaltungen wie z.b. Indian Spirit und One Love überzeugen und sich auch im Ausland, wie unter anderem in Israel, Griechenland, Schweiz, Italien und Portugal  einen Namen machen und dortige Veranstaltungen mit seinen Set´s zum kochen bringen.

2015 hat Ismir seine Debut EP „NO BEARD NO GLORY"auf SAVVA Records rausgebracht und einen Riesen Einstand mit einer Top 20 Platzierung bei einem der Namenhaftesten Onlinestors für EDM „Beatport“ hingelegt.
