French singer / songwriter Katell was cradled with the celebrated French chanson classics, then moved to travel abroad and live most of her life outside of France. The result? Catchy French pop songs, packed with worldly folk influences. Katell incorporates whatever she finds appealing during her travels in her music, whether it be Celtic fiddle (Vite Vite!), oriental sounds (Beijing) or middle eastern strings and percussion (C’est jamais bon). Listening to her songs is like embarking on a journey across the globe.

While living in The Netherlands, Katell made some hearts beat faster for French music during her theater tours Emmène-Moi, Deux Voix and Retour Amsterdam-Paris. A bigger audience got to know her for her powerful performances on The Voice of Holland (2017) and We Want More (2021).

Katell’s latest release, C’est jamais bon, is an anthem to women, written with the hope it helps them deal with the insecurities that are caused by social expectations. It’s the first of three singles that will be part of a new album by the end of 2023.
