The conceptual brainchild of Turkish-born, Barcelona-based DJ and producer, ELIF @elifmusique, Marginalia is a new home for largely undiscovered electronic artists to express their unbridled creativity within a framework of absolute sonic freedom. Established as a platform to support, nurture and develop the incredible output of the producers whose music forms the backbone of ELIF's DJ sets worldwide, Marginalia represents a forward-thinking community that looks to discover and bolster the profiles of the hardest working – often least rewarded – individuals in the music industry; individuals without whom the scene’s ecosystem would collapse entirely.

A safe haven for the organic development and progress of artistic creativity
and intellectual collaboration, the concept of Marginalia itself dates back to the 11th Century and references the wildly inventive notes, markings, doodles and sketches made in the margins of medieval books and scriptures — a place where the human imagination was free to run wild.

“Whether we are aware of it or not, one of the fundamental ways we all digest what we read, hear, see and experience is to absorb the thoughts, musings and broken fragments of others”, says ELIF. “It’s these very fragments that help us connect ideas and spur critical thinking, and it perfectly represents the type of creative dialogue I’m looking to achieve with Marginalia”.

Stimulating uninhibited creativity and avant-garde thinking by creating a land of self-expression, artistic freedom and collaboration, ELIF now looks to translate this age-old tradition into a twenty-first century paradigm and give back to the incredible pool of artists to whom she owes so much.

Expounding this mission with a clear artistic vision running through all aspects of the label’s output and sound design, Marginalia looks to contribute to the on-going development of underground electronic music in both a refreshing and sustainable new way.

Robotstyle Records label-boss Zaidokhi always tries to bring his listeners on a spiritual journey.  His creative process lies in discovering the beautiful music hidden in the mundane sounds of his environment, hoping to not only explore the depths of his own mind, but also inspire people to shift their perspective and find the beauty all around them. 

His releases on Robotstyle Records have received support from DJs like John Digweed, Baez and Silar and have been promoted by Bespoke Music, Sunset Grooves and Brasbeat(BR).

From an early age, SUBZ was driven by a deep passion for music. He first explored his creativity through the electric guitar, inspired by his love for Rock and Blues, before discovering his true calling in electronic music. At just 14, he began DJing at private events, which soon led to his first residency at 309 Rooftop.

Since then, SUBZ has performed across Lebanon at renowned venues such as Tenno, Recess, Scarlett, and more, showcasing his ability to connect with diverse crowds. His journey also led him to create the Deep Sensation podcast, where he curates and shares his signature blend of Melodic House & Techno.

Not stopping at performance, SUBZ expanded into music production and entrepreneurship. He went on to establish KNOB DJ School & Rental in Beirut, a hub for aspiring DJs and electronic music enthusiasts. Through his work, SUBZ continues to push boundaries, blending artistry, education, and community to shape the electronic music scene in Lebanon.
