Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint begins their 2019 journey by showcasing new interpretations of Matias Vila's 'Ahora'. Originally released in July of 2018 on the label's 'Summer Sampler', it found the Argentina born, Spanish based artist crafting an organic, highly creative production with a myriad of psychedelic concepts. Earning praise from Adana Twins, Audiofly and Kollektiv Turmstrasse, 'Ahora' now gets remade by Stelios Vassiloudis and Eran Aviner & Hermanez for the new year. 

The second and final interpretation of 'Ahora' finds Eran Aviner and Hermanez presenting their debut collaborative effort. As one of Belgium's most cutting edge artists, Eran Aviner is highly selective in choosing his production projects. His short but meticulous discography is highlighted by appearances on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records. Also the co-founder of 'Edge', a leading nightlife brand and record label in Belgium, Eran has shared the stage with Sasha, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Kiasmos and more. Also hailing from Belgium and making his Sound Avenue debut is Michael Coninx aka Hermanez. Perhaps best known for his timeless, tech-soul productions on Mobilee Records, Noir Music, Suara, Traum and his own Aella imprint, the Belgian artist has recently found a place in the deeper, dreamier spectrum of house with an EP on Guy J's Lost & Found Records and a soon to be released project on All Day I Dream. Now pairing up with fellow countryman Eran Aviner, the duo provide a stunning interpretation of 'Ahora' to close the release out. Building hypnotically; warm beats, organic drums and rugged bass tones unite for a highly rhythmic, free flowing framework. Smooth chord changes deliver a subtle yet powerful shift in emotive energy, as astral effects further saturate your senses as the main break commences. Coming to full fruition, the musical narrative evolves through timely modulation, creating a near two minute stretch of effervescent electronics and heartfelt melodic clusters, elegantly peaking and perfectly setting up a rousing finale. A gorgeous interpretation from Eran and Hermanez, rounding out another superb remix edition for Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint.

The latest edition of our free download series finds Ezequiel Arias returning for his second appearance. Hailing from Cordoba, the Argentinean artist has grown into one of his country’s most prodigious progressive house talents. Upon making his debut in 2013, Ezequiel became a favourite of both Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Subsequent releases on Plattenbank, Replug, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden followed shortly thereafter and cemented the Argentine’s place amongst the progressive house elite. Ezequiel made his debut on our free download series with the well received ‘2AM’. Written in conjunction with fellow countryman and Sudbeat artists Interaxxis the track featured heavily in the sets of progressive house tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Guy Mantzur and Sahar Z. Now returning for his second appearance Ezequiel unveils his much sought after ‘Private’ remix of Michael A’s ‘Ciklus One’. Originally released on Proton, Ezequiel’s interpretation has been shrouded in mystery after being aired in Hernan’s sets for the better part of a year. Roger Martinez's Higher States imprint continues a strong start to their journey by welcoming GMJ to the label for his debut EP. Based in Melbourne, Australia GMJ aka Gavin Martin has been a primary figure in the progressive house scene for over a decade. His passion for deep and emotive electronic music has seen him land releases on the industry's most esteemed imprints. From Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music to Cid Inc’s Replug Records and UK behemoth Anjunadeep, it's GMJ's storytelling style that continues to surprise and inspire even the genre's most discerning fans. Now following an EP for US conglomerate Proton Music, GMJ debuts on Higher States with the much anticipated 'Enter Universe' artist showcase.

Spread across three tracks it's the warm, redolent grooves of the title selection which gets the release underway. The seven minute journey effortlessly melds organic percussion, arcane atmospheres and hazy harmonic concepts, for what results in a travelogue of mystical audio. Delicate yet powerful it perfectly sets the stage for the peak time flavoured 'Multiverse'. It's astral designs and percussion cadence prove instantly compelling, while a foundation of pulsating beats and electric rhythms continues to drive momentum forward. A cascading motif sits at the spiritual core of the piece, evocative and fluid, gently elevating mood with each successive pass, until elegantly peaking during a poignant final act. Rounding out the collection is the mid tempo 'Niloquai'. Highly creative, it's blend of clustered vocal fragments, spatial arps and textural drifts makes for an enticing storyboard, all playing out over waves of contoured bass and striking tonal design. Reflective in mood it caps off what is an impassioned collection of music from GMJ, one which sees him raise the bar once again and continue what has been an inspired year for the Australian producer. Highly recommended.

'Making their Plaisirs Sonores Records debut are production duo, Kamilo Sanclemente & Dabeat, with an incredible three track EP called Lonely Space. The Colombian pair have collaborated for quite some time signing tracks to number of labels like Replug and The Soundgarden.

Opening with a cosmic weapon, 'Lonely Space' develops into an epic deep progressive journey filled with beautiful synth melody, female vocal, fx and hypnotic pads. Elegant and hypnotic from the first bar to the last. Next up, 'Orbital' digs deep too. Opening with more low end grunt, melodic arps float lift the mood midway before deep warm pads float into earshot. Musically rich and utterly satisfying. Finally, Alex O'Rion concludes the EP with an exquisite remix of 'Lonely Space'. Stronger and more intense, sonic fx and melodic patterns are balanced against the percussive bedrock leaving ample room for the main motifs to grow creating a sense of controlled peril.  '
